  6.     Blackjack is a Shareware program for Windows that calculates real time
  7.     probabilites and also simulates the card game head to head with the
  8.     dealer.  The program calculates all probabilities of the game of
  9.     blackjack, depending on various casino rules and what cards have been
  10.     played.  The probabilites of Standing, Drawing, Doubling Down and
  11.     Splitting are calculated continuously as the cards are dealt.  The basic
  12.     probablity tables can be calculated for any variation of the game.  All
  13.     these probabilities are calculated as the player takes on the dealer
  14.     with a graphical user interface that is like a real casino.

  16.     The unregistered version of Blackjack may be freely distributed as long
  17.     as it is not modified.  Please distribute in the compressed zip file
  18.     format which includes the version number, e.g. BJprob11.zip.

  20.     The Hardware and Software requirements for Blackjack are:
  21.  
  22.     o  Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later, running in standard or enhanced mode.
  23.     o  80286 or higher microprocessor.
  24.     o  CGA, EGA, VGA, 8514, Hercules, or other display compatible with
  25.        Windows.
  26.     o  1 MB of memory.
  27.     o  a mouse.

  29.     INSTALLATION:

  31.     You have already downloaded and unzipped the blackjack files to a
  32.     working directory.  These are the files necessary to run Blackjack:

  36.       BJHELP.TXT     Help for blackjack
  37.       BJINIT.DAT     Initialization Data

  40.     To run Blackjack you could simply select the directory where the
  41.     Blackjack files were downloaded using the Windows File Manager, then
  42.     double click on BLKJCK.EXE file.  Use the Blackjack window menu bars for
  43.     help and documentation.

  45.     If you want to put the program in a Program Manager group refer to MS
  46.     Windows manual about creating "Program Groups" and "Program Items."  As
  47.     an example if you wanted to add the Blackjack item to an existing Games
  48.     Group you could: 1.  From Program Manager open the Games Group by double
  49.     clicking on it, and then choose New from the File menu. 2.  Select the
  50.     Program Item option button, and then click on OK. 3.  In the Program
  51.     Item Properies dialog box type "Blackjack" for the description,
  52.     "blkjck.exe" for the Command Line, and enter the working directory where
  53.     you downloaded the files. 4.  Choose the OK button.

  55.     Note: You may also need to download VBRUN300.DLL from the archive site
  56.     as it is not included in the compressed ZIP file.  VBRUN300.DLL (280
  57.     Kbytes compressed) is not included to save disk space at the archive
  58.     site and most users already have a copy on their system.

  61.     EVALUATION PERIOD:

  63.     This is not free software.  You are hereby licensed to use this software
  64.     for evaluation purposes without charge for 10 free trials.  After the 10
  65.     trials, you should register Blackjack with the author or delete the
  66.     Blackjack files from your disk.  Unregistered use of Blackjack after the
  67.     evaluation period is in violation of U.S. and international copyright
  68.     laws.
