  38. Keeping track of your important dates and events has never been easier!
  39.  
  40. This is a desktop utility that runs under Microsoft(R) Windows(R)
  41. and adds a useful feature to the Windows 95/98/NT taskbar clock.
  42. It allows a user to set multiple events. 
  43. Each event can be set to go off at various intervals: 
  44. Daily:        at the daily interval specified;
  45. Weekly:        on the specified days at the selected week interval;
  46. Monthly:    on a specified day of the month, at a specified 
  47.         monthly interval;
  48.     or    on a particular week, on a specific day of the week, 
  49.         at a specified monthly interval; for example, 
  50.         the third Tuesday, every three months;
  51. Yearly:        on a specified day of a specified month;
  52.     or    on a particular week, on a specific day of the week, 
  53.         of the specified month; for example, 
  54.         the first Monday in May;
  55.  
  56. It allows a user to set multiple reminders, which can include custom text
  57. and the playing of a MIDI, RMI or WAV files.

  59. You can also specify the amount of time prior to the event to display 
  60. the reminder.
  61.  
  62. You can very simply import your old information into xReminder.
  63. Unlike many personal organizer programs, it is really small,
  64. simple to use and will work unobtrusively in the background.

  147. INSTALLATION

  150. Important! If you've got xReminder not from our web page, but from
  151. the other source (some software library), please
  152. visit our home page - you'll probably find the later version;
  153. usually, we release the updates about once a month.
  154.  
  155. To install xReminder, just run the "setup.exe" and follow the
  156. instructions. You'll need to select the target directory.
  157.  
  158. SETUP will automatically:
  159. - create an icon for xReminder in your Start-Up folder
  160. - install the required files to a directory of your choice 
  161. ( C:\Program Files\xUtils Software\xReminder by default )
  162.  
  163. xReminder is self-contained and requires no DLL's. It therefore
  164. makes minimal changes to your system.

  166. You can remove xReminder via "Add/Remove Programs" Control Panel applet.
