Electronic Assistant Professional 2.1 is a SHAREWARE information manager. The information is managed in six modules. These modules include an Organizer, Journal, Collections, Schedule and ToDo. Electronic Assistant Pro 2.1 also includes a userdefined modules, backup utilities and a ScheduleViewer.
Installation (not upgrading):
----------------------------
To install Electronic Assistant Pro 2.1, you will need to have winzip installed on your computer.
Double-click on the file EA21Pro.zip.
Winzip will display the contents of EA21Pro.zip
Click install from the winzip menu to install Electronic Assistant
Or
Extract the files to a temporary directory and double-click on the file Setup.exe in
that directory to install Electronic Assistant.
Upgrading to EA Pro 2.1

Before upgrading to EA Professional 2.1, backup your data using the Backup feature if you're using EA 2.0 (Lite or Pro). If you're upgrading from EA 1.0, backup your data by copying the files in your data directory to a new directory before uninstalling it. After backing up your data, uninstall your version of EA using the Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs. Install EA Professional 2.1 (see above).
For example;
if you're using EA 2.0:
1. Start BackUp
2. Select the default Radiobutton
3. Run BackUp by selecting Backup Now
4. Uninstall EA 2.0 using the control panel
5. Install EA Professional 2.1 (see above)
6. Use the Options module to import all your EA 2.0 records
if you're using EA 1.0:
1. Start Windows Explorer
2. Navigate to the EA 1.0 directory
the default location is at c:\Program Files\Dante' Productions\Electronic Assistant\
4. Create a new directory called "MyEAData" [without the quotes.]
5. Copy the files in the EA 1.0 data directory to "MyEAData".
the default location is at c:\Program Files\Dante' Productions\Electronic Assistant\Data\
6. Uninstall EA 1.0 using the control panel
7. Install EA 2.1 Professional (see above)
8. Use the Options module to import all your EA 1.0 records.
OR
if you're using EA 1.0;
1. Install EA Pro 2.1 (see above)
2. Use the Options module to import all your EA 1.0 records.
3. Verify that EA Pro 2.1 imported your data
4. Uninstall EA 1.0 using the control panel
Don't forget to register EA Pro 2.1 after installation.
UnInstallation

To uninstall the program, use the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Windows Control Panel.
