it is nearly impossible to stop all popups, Popup Ad Stopper will block
most of them.
1.3 - Tips
Since Popup Ad Stopper actually filters incoming TCP/IP packets, it must
be assigned what network adapter to filter for, if there is more than one
adapter. By default, Popup Ad Stopper will be bound to the last adapter it
finds. If it is not blocking popups, then you may need to change to the
correct network adapter. To do this, go into the [Configure] tab and
choose a different network adapter for the [Use Network Adapter] drop down
list. If you do not know which one to select, just pick the next one down
in consecutive order.
Whenever a popup is blocked, Popup Ad Stopper will log the date, time, and
popup method that was blocked, in the [History Log] tab dialog box.
For more tips on the features, you can use the ToolTips by making sure
that [Help], [Show ToolTips for Beginners] is checked. When this is
checked, when you put your mouse pointer over an option, a text message
will display information about that option.
