  5. VSO-Inspector is a free add-on to report various information about your hardware configuration.

  16. Detect and list information about the inserted media:

  19. - Media ID (manufacturer and/or model)
  20. - Number of layers
  21. - Supported speeds (with current writer)

  23. Media Analysis
  24. - Sector reading
  25. - Definition of the area to check
  26. - Definition of the read direction (as medias are mostly weak at the end of the recording zone, starting from the end is a good idea for a quick quality indication)
