<P><##004><B><C>Information for users of DVD writers
BootIt NG works with most DVD+R/+RW/-R/-RW drives. There a couple
things worth pointing out here:
1) The 'CD Close Method Z' has no affect on the closing method
used with DVD media.
2) DVD-RW media must be new or fully blanked. Using quick blanked
media will abort the image process with a write error. This is
specific to DVD-RW media and does not apply to DVD+RW media.
3) Many DVD drives *require* firmware updates if you use 4x DVD
media. Be sure to check the drive manufacturer's website.

<B>Adaptec AHA2940UW (945300-02 B):
Enter the latest version of the SCSISelect utility by pressing Ctrl-A
when the Adaptec copyright message is displayed on boot. Choose the
'SCSI Device Configuration' menu and disable the 'Write Back Cache'
option to prevent occasional data corruption. The problem may be
limited to the old (1996?) "945300-02 B" chip as testing with the
"945300-02 C" chip worked correctly with the cache enabled.
<B>ATA/IDE
Should you have any problems using this software with your system or
devices then there are a few things you can try:
1) *Upgrade the BIOS/firmware of the system or controller.
2) In the BIOS/firmware, disable "block mode" for the devices.
3) In the BIOS/firmware, disable "32Bit mode" for the devices.
4) In the BIOS/firmware, change the "PIO" or "DMA" mode used.
5) *Downgrade, if allowed, the BIOS/firmware of system or controller.
*You must obtain the correct BIOS/firmware and instructions from the
manufacturer of the system or controller being upgraded or downgraded.

<B>BootNow(TM)
Boots an item on the boot menu from within DOS, Win9x, WinME,
WinNT, Win2K, or Linux. Simply create a short-cut to boot one
of the boot menu items then, double-click it to have the system
shutdown, restart, and boot the selection automatically. It can
also be used to start an image set using the /ims= switch.
<B>KBMap
Change the way your keys are mapped on the keyboard when
using BootIt NG. If you have an AZERTY keyboard and pressing
'A' yields 'Q' then use this utility to make 'A' yield 'A'.
<B>BINGBURN(TM)
Burns a set of TeraByte image files to CD-R/RW or DVD+-R/+-RW media.
<B>Tweak NG(TM)
Use this to modify the BootIt NG user interface.
<B>TBIView(TM)
View and Extract individual files from images.
