  9. XML Converter is designed for 32-bit operating systems and works under the 
  10. .NET Framework.

  12. The XML Converter runs on:
  13. - Microsoft Windows NT« 4.0 (SP 6a required)
  14. - Microsoft Windows 2000 (SP2 Recommended)
  15. - Microsoft Windows XP Professional
  16. - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
  17. (Windows 95/98/ME and Windows 3.1 systems are not supported)

  19. Software Requirements:
  20. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later

  22. To author with XML Converter, your system should be equipped with the following:
  23. Pentium 90 MHz (minimum) or faster (recommended)
  24. 32 MB RAM (minimum) or more (96 MB or more recommended)
  25. 50 MB free disk space (minimum) or more

  31. Installation of XML Converter Evaluation version includes the following three steps:

  33. 1. Install .NET Framework
  34.  
  35. The XML Converter is written for .NET Framework 1.0. 
  36. Before launch XML Converter setup package you need to install on your computer 
  37. the .NET Framework redistributable package Dotnetfx.exe. It is available as a 
  38. stand-alone executable file. As a result of downloading you will receive a file
  39. named Dotnetfx.exe. Use Dotnetfx.exe for deployment purposes.

  44. Note that administrator privileges are required to install Dotnetfx.exe. If you 
  45. have previously installed the .NET Framework SDK or Microsoft Visual Studio 
  46. .NET, you do not need to install Dotnetfx.exe.

  48. 2. Install Data Access Components
  49.  
  50. After downloading and installing the Dotnetfx.exe, which contains .NET Framework 
  51. redistributable package, you will need to install mdac_typ.exe. Since the XML 
  52. Converter uses a database, then DLL's and other files supporting ADO, ODBC, OLE,
  53. etc., must also be installed.

  55. Download mdac_typ.exe from:

  59. Download this file to any folder on your hard drive. Once downloaded double-click
  60. the mdac_typ.exe file to commence installation.

  62. 3. Install XML Converter Evaluation version

  64. Finally, after installing mdac_typ.exe, which contains MDAC 2.7 files, you will
  65. need to install XML Converter Evaluation version.

  67. Launch Setup.exe from XML Converter Demo package.

  73. Without a correct License Number the software is a evaluation/trial version,
  74. which allows you to test its suitability before you purchase it.
