  1. <h2>Edit User Preferences</h2>
  2.  
  3. <p>The <strong>Edit User Preferences</strong> page allows you to customise
  4. particular parts of dotproject.</p>
  5.  
  6. <p>You acces this page by either selecting:</p>
  7.  
  8. <ul>
  9.   <li>the System Admin module link, then Default User Preferences; or</li>
  10.  
  11.   <li>the 'My Info' link in the top menu, then 'edit preferences' from the
  12.   breadcrumbs; or</li>
  13.  
  14.   <li>the User Admin module link, then selecting a login name to view the user
  15.   information, then 'edit preferences' from the breadcrumbs</li>

  18. <p>You are able to configure settings for each individual user.  You are
  19. also able to configure the 'default' system settings.  These are the
  20. settings that will be in effect when a new user is created or a new preference
  21. is added to the core system.</p>
  22.  
  23. <p><strong>Locale</strong>: This is the language setting that the user or
  24. system will present in the user interface.</p>
  25.  
  26. <p><strong>Tabbed Box View</strong>:  Tabbed boxes may be viewed in a
  27. 'flat' configuration.  This settings allows you the option or
  28. displaying the bread-crumbs to toggle between the flat and tabbed styles
  29. (select the value '<em>either</em>'), or you may select to have o­nly
  30. '<em>tabbed</em>' or o­nly '<em>flat</em>' views all of the time.</p>

  32. <p><strong>Short Date Format</strong>:  This settings gives you a choice
  33. of short date formats that comprises the day number, the abbreviated month name
  34. and the year.</p>
  35.  
  36. <p><strong>Time Format</strong>:  This setting gives you a choice of 12
  37. and 24 hour time formats.</p>
  38.  
  39. <p><strong>User Interface Style</strong>:  This setting allow you to
  40. configure which user interface style you wish to use.</p>
