  1. VFAPI Frameserving with the New Decoding Functionality
  2. ------------------------------------------------------

  4. VFAPI frameserving is now supported. It uses the
  5. MPEG2DEC3dg.dll, so both DVD2AVIdg.vfp and MPEG2DEC3dg.dll
  6. must be placed in the same directory as DVD2AVIdg.exe.
  7. Do not rename these files.

  9. I've noticed that sometimes you have to hit Convert twice in
  10. the VFAPI Converter. This appears to be a VFAPI Converter
  11. problem.

  13. The procedure is as follows:

  15. 1. Place the files as described above.
  16. 2. Run DVD2AVI and verify that when you pull down
  17.    the Help menu the VFAPI Plugin item is checked.
  18.    You don't have to check it; it is checked automatically
  19.    if the files are placed in the right place. Generate your
  20.    D2V project file as usual.
  21. 3. Ensure that the VFAPI reader codec is installed.
  22. 4. Run the VFAPI Converter, select the D2V
  23.    file, and hit OK.
  24. 5. Hit Convert and if the "fake" AVI file is not created,
  25.    hit Convert again.

  27. DVD2AVI's clipping feature is not supported.
