- MoviX Troubleshooting
- If your audio card is not recognized you're out of luck and cannot do much
- more than waiting for someone to write the driver for it :-(
- If your video still refuses to start you can try the following options:
- Boot Labels
- MoviX - The default label causes the movix script to choose
- (default) automagically the best mplayer driver for your card.
- sdl - Very good subtitles rendering but not the best video quality.
- vesa - The "vesa" driver should work for most cards.
- vesaFB - Use the generic vesa FrameBuffer driver.
- FB - Use the specific FB driver for yr card (if any).
- TV - Enable card's TVout [if any]
- aa,aa1024,aa1280 - Watch yr videos in ASCII format! :-)
-
- Together with the label you can also specify a few parameters:
- Boot Args Values Effect
- ACCEL sw,no Force software or no rescaling
- VO_DRIVER <driver> Force vo driver (read mplayer DOCS first!)
- MP_OPTIONS <opts> Add mplayer options (same as above!)
- LIST <list> Use playlist different from default
- SLOW y,n Do not slow down the CD/DVD-ROM drive
- REBOOT y,n Power off PC after playing all CD files
- SHUT y,n Power off PC after playing all CD files
- RANDOM y,n Play movies in random order
- LOOP <N> Loops movies N times [0=infinity]
-
- Example: boot: MoviX SLOW=n ACCEL=sw LOOP=2 SHUT=y
