You can find the Help documentation from the Help menu. If you have difficulties converting images into icon files, please read the "How to make an icon file" section. Also if you move the mouse over some items in the main window you will see a description of the item.
The History window will show you what you've done with the selected image. You can open the History window from the View menu. There you can undo and redo your actions. You can also undo and redo from the Edit menu. The history window can contain up to 100 actions per image.
When you select an image from the image list the main window will show the image or the alpha/transparency mask. You can change this by clicking on the Show Image or Show Mask item in the main window.
If you convert an image with the color depth of 32 bpp you can define an alpha value for each pixel. The alpha value can vary between 0 and 255. The lower the alpha value is the more transparent the pixel will be. If the alpha value is 0, the pixel will be invisible.
You can set single pixels to transparent with the Pen tool. If the color depth of the image is 32 bpp you set an alpha value for each pixel.
You can set an area of pixels to transparent with the Fill tool. If the color depth of the image is 32 bpp you set an alpha value for an area of pixels.
You can remove transparency from single pixels with the Rubber tool. If the color depth of the image is 32 bpp the Rubber tool will use an alpha value of 255 (100% visible). Use the Fill tool to set an area of pixels to an alpha value of 255.
You can paste an image from the clipboard into Frontbase Image to Icon.
You can change the dimensions and the color depths of the images from the Image menu and from the main window.
You can change the brightness and contrast of the images from the Image menu.
You can rotate, flip and mirror the images from the Image menu.
You can change the red, green and blue colors of the images from the Image menu.
You can convert BMP, ICO, JPG, PCX, PNG, TGA, and RAS images into icon files.
