When animating attributes such as color, opacity or stroke-width, create smoother transitions by setting the animation's initial value at the first keyframe of the animation.
When animating transformations, the order in which the transformation operations are applied makes a big difference. The ideal order would be to create translate operations first, then scales, then rotates, then skewXs, and lastly skewYs.

To prevent a toolbar or palette from docking, hold the <Ctrl> key while dragging.
To make a docked toolbar or palette float, double-click the toolbar/palette's move handle, or drag the toolbar/palette away from the edge of the application window.
To import a gradient from Paint Shop Pro version 6 or 7, copy the .JGD file from PSP's Gradients folder into WebDraw's Gradients folder.

To maintain aspect ratio while resizing selected objects, hold down the <Shift> key when dragging a corner handle.
To move selected objects in 1-pixel increments, press the arrow keys. To move selected objects in 10-pixel increments, hold down the <Shift> key while pressing the arrow keys.
To rotate selected objects in 1-degree increments, hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the arrow keys. To rotate selected objects in 10-degree increments, hold down the <Ctrl> + <Shift> keys while pressing the arrow keys.
When using the Node Edit tool, you can quickly expand a group of selected nodes by pressing the F9 key, or quickly contract a group of selected nodes by pressing the F8 key. Set the Node Edit tool's Expansion percentage in the Tool Options palette.
To use the same fill and stroke settings for each drawing tool, toggle on the Lock Paint Styles button in the Tool Options palette.
To place a bitmap into the current WebDraw file, use the Image tool. Supported file formats include JPG, PNG, and SVG.
To create a new window of the current file, choose Window > Duplicate.
