1. About "iText"
iText is a cute Text Editor with simple word processor, fitting the charming iMac's colorful-design. Succeeds stability and lots of nice features that selected out of LightWayText, so anyone will get to be a good friend, also let even beginner feel it pleasantly comfortably. Available to even more than 32 kbytes big text documents with very high speed.
iText is Top in a Japanese download-ranking of Editor-category currently. We wish lots world people to try it, and made it English version. Please use iText freely !!
As for iText Ver3,
In addition to a normal editor, carries the simple multilingual
word processor.
iText is available widely from a programming to all writing work
(articles, special manuscripts, or every kind of document).
It can do operation necessary for editing intuitively, and there are many ways to change the appearance of your document. You can control character emphasis very easily, or choose fonts, font sizes, colors, and decoration lines of each every one character. You're also, able to change to each paragraph the Indents or the Margins, and to paste up PICT images. Naturally, it can display your document in the size and layout that you need to do edit.
It'll let you recall "Macintosh mind of the early days" - that is pure and simple, and you'll get a comfortable feeling that there isn't in a concept of existing general-purpose software. It can edit even big text documents more than 32 kbytes with very high
speed. And it was selected to a prize of a great deal of online software in
Japan (for example, the Careful-screening Online Software 50 of Nikkei
Click, and the Online Software grand prix 2000 and so on), and it's Top in a
download-ranking of an Editor-category currently.
The "iText" will become your good partner, and it'll certainly supply
comfortable work environment without harming an image of iMac and iBook

In addition to a normal editor function, it carries the Simple "Japanese &
English Word Processor" function of informality. Besides, if you do "Key-

itself into "iTextPro" that has "LightWayText" and nearly same
function except upper functions. And as for iText's documents, it's possible
to do Step-up to our "Family-softwares (LightWayText/iTexPro)" if you

Information:

It works with both Power Macintosh and 68K Macintosh and can use it at
Power Macintosh original speed, because it's a "FAT_Binary Application".
There is also "Windows version", and it can let you realize almost the
same operating environment at Mac/Windows computers, and it's
compatible with each other's documents.
It's Freeware and it's compatible with all of "LightWayText Family
Applications (LightWayText & iText Pro)".
By Key-registration, the "iText" changes to "iTextPro".
The "iTextPro" enables to you the use of more functions of LightWayText and the same class.
It can edit big text documents more than 32 kbytes (so long as memory
allows it) with very high speed, and it can open "SimpleText" document
even if it's Read-Only.
It copes with "Drag & Drops", and AppleScript.
It copes with "TSM (Text Services Manager) inline" input.
It can display the document with a paper image.
It can display the Ruler and "Control codes" to a document window and can
change a color variation of windows.
It can do "Undo" and "Redo", about all of editing.
It can paste the PICT images as characters.
It copes with a "J-Wrap (Japanese hyphenation Function= Kinsoku-Syori)".
It can control character emphasis, or choose fonts / font sizes / colors and
decorations, or rich variations in each one character.
It can change the Indent or Margins, and Variable-tab setting, by each
paragraph.
It can jump to ordered line or page and can put the bookmarks.

1.2. Requirement of iText 3
The iText 3.0.2E copes with Mac-OS version 7.1 and later versions.
Ñ The "Classic version" is exclusive-use program from
Mac OS 7.1 to Mac OS 9.X.
Ñ The "Carbon version" is exclusive-use program
that's for "Mac OS X 10.0" and later versions.
1.3. About "LightWayText"
We made "iText", limited with only a basic editing function from
"LightWayText". The "LightWayText (Shareware)" is more
powerful text editor that contain many convenient functions necessary for
the document creation. If you like iText, please try out LightWayText by all
means once, you'll find it more useful !

You can also use LightWayText & iText with MS-Windows !
As for "LightWayText/iText", there are Macintosh version and Windows
version. It can let you realize almost the same operating environment at
two computers, and it's compatible with each other's documents.
If you're also MS-Windows user, please use "LightWayText" and "iText" in
both Windows and Macintosh, it'll be very convenient for you.
If you register to LightWayText by "A Single User License ($25 per user)",
it'll be licensed to take advantage of LightWayText in both of
Machintosh/Windows and "LightWayText Family Applications
(iText/iTextPro)".
Or, you can do Step-up to "iText Pro" from "iText" by Key-registration
(A Single User Key; $15 per user), additionally can do more Step-up to
"LightWayText" from "iTextPro" by Up-grade registration (A Single User

Attention: "LightWayText/iText for Windows" is only Japanese-version.

2. Document Window
The document window of iText consists of the following parts.
The "Form Tools", "Ruler", "Information Area" can change indication / Non-
indication by Format menu. If you need more information, see "3.5.1.Form
Tools".

2.1. Ruler
The "Ruler" is a horizontal scale at the top of a document window, it is
divided into inches or other units of measures you choose.
It can change indication / Non-indication by choosing "Show Ruler" from
Format menu.
When you point to ╩ mark, "Ruler unit menu" is indicated.
╩
When you drag to the markers (╩ /╩) in the ruler, the following position
changes.
╩ marker The first line start position
Left╩marker The left indent position
Right╩marker The right indent position

When you click ╩ and exchange it to ╩, and drag the markers, the following
position changes.
Left╩marker The left margin position
Right╩marker The right margin position

2.2. Information Area
To the "Information area (the document window left lower part)"
information such as "Line number", "Column number", and "Page number" is
displayed.
╩ mark Indicates that contents of the document changed.

Indicates a current "Line number", "Column number",
and "Page number (Only with "Show Paper Image")".
Additionally, by a mouse click, it can do the following operations.
Double click to "L: C: part" Displays the "Line Dialog".
Option + Click to "L: C: part" Moves a cursor to the last line.
Option + Shift + Click to "L: C: part" Moves a cursor to the top line.
Command + Click to "L: C: part" Displays the "Line Dialog".
Click to "P: part" Displays the next page.
Shift + Click to "P: part" Displays the previous page.
Option + Click to "P: part" Displays the last page.
Option + Shift + Click to "P: part" Displays the first page.
Command + Click to "P: part" Displays the "Page Dialog".
2.3. Special Operations
When you click to the "Title bar" with the Option key, the "Window-shade"
is done, and when you click the "Close box" with the Option key, all
document windows are closed.
+ Click URL or email-address.
When you click with pushing a Command key the string of "URL" like
"http://www.apple.com/main.html" within the document, lets the
"Internet Browser" execute automatically and it indicates a homepage
which it should show. If you click with Command on email-address
strings like "lightway@mac.com", it lets the "Mail-
Reader" execute automatically.
(When you click it with the Option + Command key on, it's only choice
of the "URL or email-address", and the Browser or Mail-Reader isn't
executed.)
2.4. Function Bar
If you turn on the "Function Bar" of the "Preferences Dialog", it indicates
the "Function Bar". (If you need more information, see "3.2.1.Preferences
Dialog".)

The "Function Bar" is the "Tools" which the "buttons" in order to execute the
"Menu Command" that assigned to the Function keys stuck to. By using this,
with only mouse click, you can execute very quickly, the File/Edit/Find
commands that you'll use frequently.
3. Menus and Dialogs
When you choose "About iText" from Apple menu, it displays your version
and registrant name of iText.
If you choose "iText Pro Key" from Apple menu, it indicates more Dialog
to register of "iTextPro".
(The "iText" got possible a transforming itself to "iTextPro" by "Key-
registration". If you find "iText" useful and need more functions, you can
do Step-up to "iTextPro" by $15 Registration Fee (A Single User Key; $15
per user. The "iTextPro" has "LightWayText" and nearly same function
except special upper functions.)
3.1. File Menu

New. Makes a new document window.
Open... With "Open Dialog", opens text documents you select.
Close Closes the document window.
Save Saves contents of a document.
Save As... With "Save As Dialog", saves contents of a document with
another name.
Revert to Saved Returns the document to the contents which it saved last.
Page Setup... Displays the "Page Setup Dialog".
Print... Prints contents of the document.
Quit Ends a iText.
If you've made change to a document without saving,
it presents a message asking "Save changes to the file ?"
And if the document is untitled, it displays the "Save As
Dialog".
3.2. Edit Menu

Undo Reverses your last editing or formatting action.
Redo Reverses your last undo action.
Only at the time when you'd executed undo command,
it's indicated.
Cut Deletes the selected text and puts it onto the "Clipboard",
replaces the previous contents of the "Clipboard".
Copy Sends the selected text to the "Clipboard",
replaces the previous contents of the "Clipboard".
Paste Inserts a copy of the "Clipboard" contents at the insertion
point or replaces the selection.
Clear Removes the selected text, without placing it on the
"Clipboard".
Select All Selects all contents of the current document.
Preferences... Displays the "Preferences Dialog".

Show Clipboard
Indicates the contents of "Clipboard (Scrap Catalog)".
3.2.1. Preferences Dialog
It controls many "Default Setting" for iText.

Color Variation.
Specifies a "Default Color Variation (Window's color)" from the iMac's
color variations.
Startup Specifies a action of startup of iText.
Units Specifies a unit to use with "Page Layout Dialog".
Ruler Specifies a unit of the ruler for the new document.
Justify Specifies a "paragraph alignment method" of either of
"Left, Right, Center, or Justified", for the new
document.
If you choose the "Justified", it adjusts the paragraph,
equally between both edges, and if there is the spaces (or
half size space of the Japanese characters), it does it
uniformly by expanding spaces.
J-Wrap (Only in "Japanese Font" use.)
Specifies the method of "Japanese-Word Wrap" for the new
document. If you specify either (the "Dangle" or "Expel"), it
executes the "Japanese-Word Wrap" function, by that
method.
(This special function is called "Kinsoku-syori" in Japanese,
often translated into English as "Japanese Hyphenation
Function". It neatly handles the Japanese characters that
must not be in head and end of the line.)
When you choose the "Dangle", it does hang the characters to
process, to the line's end. And if you choose the "Expel", it
sends it to the next line's top.
Font Specifies a "Default Font" for the new document.
Size Specifies a "Default Font Size" for the new document.
Color Specifies a "Default Font Color" for the new document.
Tabs Specifies a "Default Tab Width" for the new document,
by the number of the characters (with the Default font size.)
Line Specifies a "Default Line Interval" for the new document,
by the number of points.
Show Ruler , Show Info Area.
If you turn on the option of these, indicates these within
the new window.
Show Invisibles, Show Line Turn, Show Page Guides, Show Paper Image.
If you turn on the option of these, indicates these conditions
with the new document.
Form Tools. If you turn on this option, it indicates the "Form Tools"
within the new window.
Wordwrap If you turn on this option, executes the "Wordwrap" function
with the new document.
Smart Word Edit
If you turn on this option, with the new document, at the
time of cut, paste, delete, or "Drag & Drop", it adjusts the
space between the each English words.
Function Bar. If you turn on this option, it indicates the "Function Bar" and
can execute the corresponding commands by the Function-
keys (F1-F8).
If you need more information, see "2.4.Function Bar".
Attention: If you push the "Cancel" button on the way, all of the
contents specified until it in the "Preferences Dialog"
become invalid.
3.3. Find Menu

Find/Replace... Displays the "Find/Replace Dialog".
If you need more information, see "3.3.1.Find/Replace
Dialog".
Find Next. Repeats execution of the last "Find" or "Find Selection"
command, by using the same search text.
When you execute it with Shift key on, searches in
reverse.
Find Selection. Searches a document, by using the text that selected as
the "Search String". When you execute it with Shift key
on, searches in reverse.
Enter Find String. Turns the selected text into the "Search String".
Replace. Changes the text that'd searched, to the specified.
Replace & Find Next.
Executes the "Replaces" command, and next executes
the "Find Next" command sequentially.
When you execute it with Shift key on, searches in
reverse.
Replace All. Changes all occurrences of the search text in the
document to the specified.
Line... Displays the "Line Dialog".
If you need more information, see "3.3.2.Line Dialog".
Page... Displays the "Page Dialog".
Only at the time when you'd turned on "Show Paper
Image" in Format menu, it's indicated.
If you need more information, see "3.3.3.Page Dialog".
Mark... Displays the "Mark Dialog", in order to register the
Mark.
If you need more information, see "3.3.4.Mark Dialog".
3.3.1. Find/Replace Dialog
It specifies contents of "Find" and "Replace" and can replace it after search.

Find String. Specifies the character strings to search.
Repl String. Specifies the character strings to replace.
Point on ╩. Displays the history character strings of "Find String" or
"Repl String", if you choose "Clear History", these're
removed. Additionally, you can insert a "Return code" or
"Tab code" by choosing it, to each "String boxes".
Ignore J-Roman letters. (Only in "Japanese Font" use.)
If you turn on this option, it distinguishes "Hankaku-Moji"
from "Zenkaku-Moji" and searches it.
With Japanese, "Zenkaku-Moji" means the General Japanese-
characters of 2 bytes
(Kanji/Hiragana/Katakana/alphanumeric character of duble-
byte), and "Hankaku-Moji" means only the "Katakana or
Alphanumeric character" of 1 byte.
Ignore J-Kana letters. (Only in "Japanese Font" use.)
If you turn on this option, it distinguishes "Katakana"
from "Hiragana" and searches it.
With Japanese, the "Hiragana" means the General Japanese-
characters, it uses "katakana" mainly when it expresses
words of foreign origin and so on.
Ignore Upper/Lower case.
If you turn on this option, it distinguishes "Lowercase"
from "Uppercase" and searches it.
Find Backwards.
If you turn on this option, it searches in reverse.
Show Find Palette.
If you turn on this option, after a search, it displays the
"Find Palette".
If you need more information, see "3.3.1.1.Find Palette".
Find. Executes a search.
Don't Find. Does only establishment of contents of "Find and Replace",
and doesn't search it.
3.3.3.1. Find Palette
It is indicated only when you turn on the "Show Find Palette" of the
"Find/Replace Dialog", and execute "Find".
By using this, you can search or change the text that'd searched, to the
specified, quickly.

Go Back... Displays the "Find/Replace Dialog".

If you push these with Shift key on, searches in reverse.
3.3.2. Line Dialog
Specifies the line number to let a cursor position jump to.
It displays the specified cursor position within a document.

3.3.3. Page Dialog
Specifies the page number to scroll to.
It displays the specified page within a document.

3.3.4. Mark Dialog
It attaches a "Mark" (like a bookmark) to the selected text, or to an
arbitrary position.
By using it, you can specify a position in a document that you want to
display quickly.

When you display this dialog, indicates the strings of current selections
within the "Mark Name". If you give it a name and push the "Add" button, it
is registered and it indicates the menu as Mark List at the bottom part of
Find menu. When you choose it, the position corresponding to the name is
indicated.
Mark List. Indicates the registered Marks.
Delete . Removes the selected Mark from the Mark List.
3.4. Font, Size, Style Menu (Text Menu)

The Font, Size, Style Menus affects only the current selected characters.
Font. Lists the font names. These commands change the font of
selected characters.
Fonts are the designs of the characters you display on the
screen and print.
Size. Lists the font sizes. These commands change the font size
of selected characters.
Larger. Makes it 1 point large than the current situation.
Smaller. Makes it 1 point small than the current situation.
Other.... Displays the "Font Size Dialog".

Style. Lists the text styles. These commands change the text
style of selected characters.
Color. Lists the text colors. These commands change the text
color of selected characters.
Other... Displays the "Text Color Dialog". If you want to specify
with free-color, choose a color you want.
3.4.1. Font Size Dialog
Specifies the font size by points, it changes of selected characters.

3.5. Format Menu

The Format Menu affects the whole current document basically, except
"Form Tools".
Show Ruler. Displays the "Ruler" at the top of the document window.
If you need more information, see "2.1.Ruler".
Show Info Area. Displays the "Information area" at the left lower parts
of the document window, it informs you of current
"Line number", "Column number", and "Page number".
If you need more information, see "2.2.Information
Area".
Show Invisibles. Displays the symbols (Control codes) in the document
window.
When you turn on this command, it affects the
following symbols.
End-of-line mark (Return code).
Tab mark (Tab code).
Show Line Turn . Turns the lines down by the "Page-width (C/Line)"
specified with the "Page Layout" menu and displays it.
If you'd specified the "Paragraph Format (Indents)",
folds the lines by it.
If you need more information, see "2.1.Ruler" or
"3.5.3.Page Layout Dialog".
Show Page Guides. Displays the "Page Guides (Guide-line of a page-width
by the dotted line)" in the document window.
Show Paper Image. Displays the document in a page unit by an image of
paper.
Show Magical View. Displays the document in the Vertical Writing format
(by the method of "Japanese Tategaki").
"Tategaki" is the writing form of vertical that a book
of Japanese usually uses, it reverses a direction of
paper, in order to enumerate "Japanese characters"
lengthwise.
Form Tools. Displays the "Form Tools" at upper bar of the
Ruler in the document window. It affects only the
current selected paragraph or the characters.

Document... Displays the "Document Dialog".

Page Layout... Displays the "Page Layout Dialog".

Header... Displays the "Header Dialog".
Footer... Displays the "Footer Dialog".
If you need more information that detailed each of the
dialog, see "3.5.4.Header Dialog (Footer Dialog)".
3.5.1. Form Tools
The "Form Tool" is the "Tools" which the "menus or buttons" in order to
specify the window color or the "Paragraph Format" stuck to, at upper bar
of the Ruler in the document window. It affects basically, only the current
selected paragraphs.
By using this, you can control colors of the Ruler and Information Area, and
change the indents by each paragraph, and set the margins easily.
It can change indication / Non-indication by choosing "Form Tools" from
Format menu. (It's also replaced if you do double-click on the scale of
the Ruler.)

╩ Lists the iMac's color variations.
By this, can change Window's color
variations (of Ruler and Information Area).

╩ / ╩. By click, it exchanges the target to specify in
mutually with toggle between the "Paragraph-setting
(Indent setting)" and the "Page Layout-setting
(Margin setting)".
╩. When this mark is indicated, you can specify the
"Paragraph-setting (the Indent)" of selected
paragraphs.
It affects only the current selected paragraphs.
When you drag to the markers (╩ /╩) in the ruler, the following
position changes.
╩ marker The first line start position
Left╩marker The left indent position
Right╩marker The right indent position
An "Indent" is the distance between the start of a line and the left
margin or the end of a line and the right margin.
Generally, it'll be good you use indents to set off certain paragraphs
from the document. If you want to change the distance from the text
to the edge of the page throughout a document, change the margins.
╩. When this mark is indicated, you can specify the
"Page Layout-setting (the Margin)" of the whole
document.
When you click ╩ and exchange it to ╩, and drag the markers, the
following position changes. If you need more information, see
"3.5.3.Page Layout Dialog".
Left╩marker The left margin position
Right╩marker The right margin position
When you click the following tools, it changes the paragraph format of
the selected paragraphs or current editing cursor (caret) as follows.

Alignment of Paragraphs (Justify).
These tools change a "paragraph alignment method" of
either of "Left, Right, Center, or Justified" in
selected paragraphs or current editing cursor (caret).
The paragraphs are arranged relative to the "left and
right indents" rather than the "margins".
If you click the "Justified", it adjusts the paragraph,
equally between both edges, and if there is the spaces
(or half size space of the Japanese characters), it does
it uniformly by expanding spaces.

Line Spacing.
These tools change the line spacing of selected
paragraphs or current editing cursor (caret).
Indicates the specified space by points.

3.5.2. Document Dialog
It specifies in a lump the "Paragraph formats" and the "Text styles", and
affects the whole current document. You can specify those with each
paragraph or the certain characters, but if you want to change those in a
lump, you had better use this at the last finishing, or at the first of edit.

Justify Specifies a "paragraph alignment method" of either of "Left,
Right, Center, or Justified".
If you choose the "Justified", it adjusts all paragraphs,
equally between both edges, and if there is the spaces (or half
size space of the Japanese characters), it does it uniformly by
expanding spaces.
The paragraphs are arranged relative to the "left and right indents"
rather than the "margins".
J-Wrap (Only in "Japanese Font" use.)

Font Size is an effect on All.
If you turn on this option, it changes all characters of the
document to the Standard font and size. (If you do not, it doesn't
exchange a current state.)
Count Displays the document information of the whole document.
If you'd chosen a specific text, it displays document information
of choice sphere.
3.5.3. Page Layout Dialog
It establishes page layout (effective in "Paper Image" case only) of a
document window.
It is based on a page-size specified with the "Page Setup" command, and
affects the whole current document.
The establishment unit of this dialog becomes the specified thing with the
"Preferences Dialog".

Margin. Specifies each of the margins (effective in "Paper Image" case
only).
You can also specify these by the "Form Tools", quickly.
If you need more information, see "3.5.1.Form Tools".
The "Margin" is the spaces that's between the edge of the paper and
the main text area, you can use margins for the entire document.
If you want to vary the distance between the text and margins for part
of a document, you had better change the indents, to only certain
selected paragraphs.
Notice the difference between "Margins" and "Indents", the Margins are

area. The Margins are established for the whole document. The indent
determines the distance from the specific lines or paragraphs to the
left or right margin boundaries, and you can specify for each individual
paragraphs. If you need more information that detailed the paragraph
format, see "3.5.1.Form Tools".
Column. If you want to divide the "Column form" (effective in "Paper
Image" case only) for this document, specify the number (more
than 2) of column of 1 page.
When you specified more than 2 column, you can specify an
interval of each column in the "Space box" additionally.
Number Specifies the number (2~5) of columns to divide within
the page.
Space Specifies the interval of columns.
Width Indicates the width of the columns.
(All becomes the same width entirely.)
Information area.
On real time, it indicates the situation of 1 page, with "changing of
the Margins or Columns", that increases or decreases.
Width Indicates the width of 1 page.
Height Indicates the height of 1 page.
C / Line Indicates the number of the characters (with Standard
font and size) of 1 line.
L / Page Indicates the number of the lines (Page height) of 1 page.
3.5.4. Header (Footer) Dialog
It establishes the Header (or the Footer) in a document window.
The "header" is text that prints in the top margin of each page of a
document, and the "Footer" prints in the bottom margin.
Both are effective only at a time of "Show Paper Image", except it, these
aren't indicated.

Height Specifies the height to display in the top (or the bottom) blank
of paper.
String Type the contents (text) to display.
You can include the following descriptive Stamp, that is used in
the "Headers or Footers" frequently generally.
History When you point to this, it lists the histories of contents of
the "String".
If you choose "Clear History", these're removed.
Additionally, you can insert a "Return code" or "Tab code" in
the "String", by choosing it.
Stamp When you point to this, it lists the following "Stamps".
If you need to specify, choose either one. These're inserted
within the "String box", by a form that describes next.
Date It's indicated as <DATE>.
Time It's indicated as <TIME>.
Page # It's each page number, that's indicated as
<PAGE>.
Total Page #
It's the total page number, that's indicated as
<PMAX>.
Document Name
It's each document name, that's indicated as
<NAME>.
Date Type, Time Type.
Only at the time of choice about the "Date or Time",
you can set each types additionally.
If you need to specify, choose either one.
Date Type Specifies the form of the date stamp.
"H.yy/mm/dd"
This's the description form of era in Japanese
(using GENGOU).
For example, at present, the "H.yy" is counted by
using an era of "HEISEI".
"Date Format 1~3".
These depend the "Date & Time" of "Control Panels".
Time Type Specifies the form of the time stamp.
"Time Format 1~3".
These depend the "Date & Time" of "Control Panels".
Header (Footer) Style.
If you want to change the appearance of the characters of the
Headers (or the Footers), specify the Font, Size, Style, Color, or
the Justify.
3.6. Window Menu

The Window Menu controls the situation of a document window.
Tile It arranges and displays those so that all of a window not
be piled up.
When you execute it with Shift key on, it arranges those
vertically and displays.
Stack It arranges and displays those so that all of a window be
piled up. (This's equal to "Cascade" of Windows.)
Zoom Displays a window of the front most to the whole screen
by zoom.
Switch Changes a window of the front to the next window most.
When you execute it with Shift key on, it changes to the
previous window.
Window Name Displays a selected document window to the forefront,
makes it active.
4. Original Key Operations
We assigned the following Key-Operations to the Menu keys, Control keys,
and Arrow keys.
4.1. Menu Keys of default

N Makes a new document window.
O With "Open Dialog", opens text documents.
W Closes the document window.
S Saves contents of a document.
P Prints contents of the document.
Q Ends a iText.
Z Reverses your last editing or formatting action. (Undo)

X Deletes the selected text and puts it onto the "Clipboard".
C Sends the selected text to the "Clipboard".
V Inserts a copy of the "Clipboard" contents at the insertion

G Repeats execution of the last "Find" or "Find Selection"
command, by using the same search text.
Shift key + G Executes the "Find Next" command, in reverse.
H Searches a document, by using the texts that selected as the
"Search String".
Shift key + H Executes the "Find Selection" command, in reverse.
E Turns the selected text into the "Search String".

R. Executes the "Replaces" command, and next executes the
"Find Next" command sequentially.

When you operate an Arrow key with a Shift key, it chooses the characters.
4.4. Other Key Operations
Option key+ Enter key. Inputs a "Page Break (Page or Column Feed Code)",
and turns the text of the back into the next page
(or column) than the insertion point.
Shift + Delete key It deletes right 1 character of a cursor position.
Home key Moves a cursor to the head position of a line.
End key Moves a cursor to the last position of a line.
Option + Home key Moves a cursor to the top line.
Option + End key Moves a cursor to the last line.
