  2.    The RAR Archiver
  3.    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  4.    License for use and distribution

  8.       The RAR archiver is distributed as try before you buy. This means:
  9.  
  10.    1. All copyrights to RAR are exclusively owned by the author
  11.       - Alexander Roshal.
  12.  
  13.    2. Anyone may use this software during a test period of 40
  14.       days. Following this test period of 40 days or less,
  15.       if you wish to continue to use RAR, you must register.
  16.  
  17.    3. There are 2 basic types of licenses issued for RAR, these are:
  18.  
  19.       a.  A single computer usage license. The user purchases one license
  20.           to use the RAR archiver on one computer.
  21.  
  22.       b.  A multiple usage license. The user purchases a number of usage
  23.           licenses for use, by the purchaser, the purchaser's employees or
  24.           accredited agents, on the same number of computers.
  25.  
  26.           The number of licenses in network environment must not be less
  27.           than the maximum possible amount of simultaneous users.
  28.  
  29.       Once registered, the user is granted a non-exclusive license to use
  30.       RAR on as many computers as defined by the licensing terms above
  31.       according to the number of licenses purchased, for any legal purpose.
  32.       The registered RAR software may not be rented or leased, but may be
  33.       permanently transferred, in it's entirety, if the person receiving it
  34.       agrees to the terms of this license. If the software is an update,
  35.       the transfer must include the update and all previous versions.
  36.  
  37.    4. The RAR/WinRAR unregistered trial version may be freely distributed,
  38.       with exceptions noted below, provided the distribution package is not
  39.       modified in any way.
  40.       
  41.       a.  No person or company may distribute separate parts of the package
  42.           with the exception of the UnRAR components, without written
  43.           permission of the copyright owner.
  44.       
  45.       b.  The RAR/WinRAR unregistered trial version may not be distributed
  46.           inside of any other software package without written permission
  47.           of the copyright owner.

  49.       c.  Hacks/cracks, keys or key generators may not be included on the
  50.           same distribution.

  52.    5. To register you must buy RAR. See order.htm for details.

  54.    6. THE RAR ARCHIVER IS DISTRIBUTED "AS IS". NO WARRANTY OF ANY
  55.       KIND IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. YOU USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  56.       NEITHER THE AUTHOR NOR THE AGENTS OF THE AUTHOR WILL BE LIABLE 
  57.       FOR DATA LOSS, DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS OR ANY OTHER KIND OF LOSS
  58.       WHILE USING OR MISUSING THIS SOFTWARE.

  60.    7. There are no additional license fees, apart from the cost of
  61.       registration, associated with the creation and distribution of RAR
  62.       archives, volumes, self-extracting archives or self-extracting
  63.       volumes. Legally registered owners may use their copies of
  64.       RAR/WinRAR to produce archives and self-extracting archives and
  65.       to distribute those archives free of any additional RAR royalties.

  67.    8. You may not use, copy, emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, modify,
  68.       decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer
  69.       the licensed program, or any subset of the licensed program, except
  70.       as provided for in this agreement. Any such unauthorized use shall
  71.       result in immediate and automatic termination of this license and
  72.       may result in criminal and/or civil prosecution.

  74.       Neither RAR binary code, WinRAR binary code, UnRAR source or UnRAR
  75.       binary code may be used or reverse engineered to re-create the RAR
  76.       compression algorithm, which is proprietary, without written
  77.       permission of the author.
  78.  
  79.       RAR and WinRAR keyfiles may not be distributed, except as stated
  80.       in item 3) above, outside of the area of legal control of the
  81.       person or persons who purchased the original license, without
  82.       written permission of the copyright holder.
  83.  
  84.       All rights not expressly granted here are reserved by Alexander Roshal.

  86.    9. Installing and using RAR/WinRAR signifies acceptance of these terms
  87.       and conditions of the license.
  88.  
  89.   10. If you do not agree with the terms of this license you must
  90.       remove RAR/WinRAR files from your storage devices and cease to
  91.       use the product.
