<li>Go to the account that contains the transaction you want to void.</li>

<li>In the account register, right-click the transaction you want to void.</li>
<li>Point to <emph>Mark As</emph>, and then click <emph>Void</emph>.</li>

<p>In the transaction forms at the bottom of the page, <emph>**VOID**</emph> is displayed, and <emph>R</emph> (for reconciled) is displayed in the <emph>C</emph> (cleared) field. If you're not using transaction forms, <emph>**VOID**</emph> is also displayed in the <emph>Balance</emph> field of the account register.</p>
<p variant="note">To reverse a voided transaction, repeat this procedure.</p>

<tease>What happens to the transaction when I void it?</tease>

<p>Money maintains a record of the transaction, but the transaction amount is not included in the account balance. Reversing a voided transaction will restore it.</p>

<tease>What happens when I void a transfer or a split?</tease>

<p>If you void a transfer in one account, the corresponding transaction is also voided. Voiding any part of a split will void all parts of that split.</p>
