<p>You don't need to because Money calculates it automatically. Your tax rate after retirement is based on the <glossary tNum="286989">effective income tax rate</glossary> specified on the <emph>Taxes & Inflation</emph> page in Lifetime Planner and your projected income during that period.</p>

<tease>I have special income that is taxed at a different rate than the rest of my income.</tease>

<p>You may have income (such as gift money, an inheritance, or proceeds from the sale of a house) that is taxed at a different rate than your investment and salary income or may even be tax-exempt. If so, you can enter a custom tax rate for that special income as you use the New Income wizard to add that income to your lifetime plan.</p>
<p>On the <emph>Other Income</emph> page, click <emph>New Income</emph>. On the <emph>What's the growth rate? And what about taxes?</emph> screen, click <emph>No tax (0%)</emph> or <emph>A custom rate of</emph> in the <emph>Tax rate on this income</emph> box. If you click the second option, enter the custom rate. </p>
