<p>If you no longer need your existing <glossary tNum="286942">archived</glossary> file and you want to keep the same file name, you can assign the same file name to the new archived file.</p>

<li>On the <emph>File</emph> menu, click <emph>Archive</emph>.</li>
<li>In the date box, enter an archive date, and then click <emph>OK</emph>.</li>
<p>Transactions prior to, but not including, this date will be archived.</p>
<li>Select the archived file you want to replace, and then click <emph>OK</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>OK</emph> to replace the file with your new archived file.</li>
<li>Select the accounts you want to archive, and then click <emph>OK</emph>.</li>
