<p>If you're going to start saving later, you can include the savings in your lifetime plan.</p>
<ol>
<li>On the <emph>Planner</emph> menu, click <emph>Lifetime Planner</emph>.</li>
<li>In the left pane, click <emph>Savings & Investments</emph>, and then click <emph>Savings Contributions</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>New Contribution</emph>.</li>
<li>Follow the instructions on the screen.</li>
<li>When asked to choose a start date, enter your best estimate.</li>

<p>To change information about a contribution:</p>

<li>Click the contribution, and then click <emph>Edit</emph>.</li>
<li>Click the details you want to edit, and then follow the instructions on the screen.</li>

<p>For example, if you plan to double your contribution next year to your 401(k) account, set an end date to your current contribution to the end of this year, create a new contribution (at the increased amount), and give it a start date for next year.</p>
