<p>You may need to upgrade your software to use Money for the Pocket PC with your Money 2004 file. To use Money for the Pocket PC, you must have the latest versions of the following software installed:</p>

<li><emph>Pocket PC 2002.</emph>Check with your device manufacturer for information on how to update your device to the latest version of Pocket PC operating system software.</li>
<li><emph>Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5.</emph> Go to <alink type="xtnl" href="http://moneycentral.msn.com/money/2004/redir.aspx?mcrid=662">the Pocket PC Web site</alink> to find the latest version of Microsoft ActiveSync. </li>
<li><emph>Microsoft Money for the Pocket PC.</emph> The installation program for Money for the Pocket PC is installed on your desktop computer when you install Money 2004. <alink type="prcdr" href="Installmicrosoftmoneyonyourpocketpc.xml"/> You can also go to <alink type="xtnl" href="http://moneycentral.msn.com/money/2004/redir.aspx?mcrid=662">the Pocket PC Web site</alink> to download the latest version of Microsoft Money for the Pocket PC. </li></ul>
<p>Even if a version of Money for the Pocket PC is already installed on your device, you may need to install an update for it to work correctly with Money 2004.</p>
<p variant="note">If you downloaded Money 2004 instead of installing it from a CD-ROM, you may not have Money for the Pocket PC on your computer.
