<p>The Tax Estimator helps you project your tax liability for the year so you can plan more effectively. Money determines how much you've spent in a tax-deductible category so far and projects your spending for the year. The more precise your tax-related information is, the more accurately Money can estimate your deductions. </p>
<p>When your circumstances change<mdash/>for instance, if you change jobs, have a child, or go back to school<mdash/>you may need to adjust your projected deductions. You can override any projected deduction in the Tax Estimator and see how the change affects your taxes. You can always go back to Money's calculated amount later.</p>
