<li>On the <emph>Accounts & Bills</emph> menu, click <emph>Account Setup</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Add a new account</emph>.</li>
<li>Follow the instructions on the screen to set up an investment account.</li>
<li>When Money asks you if you want to add an investment now, click <emph>Yes, I'll add investments now</emph>, and then click <emph>Next</emph>.</li>
<li>In the <emph>Investment name</emph> box, type the name of the CD or savings bond, and then click <emph>Next</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>CD/US Savings Bond</emph>, and then click <emph>Next</emph>.</li>
<li>Use your savings bond or CD records to enter the details for this account:</li>
<ul>
<li><emph>Maturity date.</emph> Choose the date your CD or savings bond becomes due and payable.</li>
<li><emph>Interest rate.</emph> Enter the interest rate established for the investment.</li>
<li><emph>Interest paid.</emph> Select how often the interest will be paid.</li>
<li><emph>Country/Region.</emph> Select the country or region where the investment was issued.</li>
<li><emph>Status.</emph> If the CD or savings bond is exempt from taxes, select the <emph>Tax exempt</emph> check box.</li>
</ul>
<li>Click <emph>Finish</emph>.</li>
<li>In the <emph>Value</emph> box, enter the amount you paid for the investment, and then click <emph>Next</emph>.</li>
<li>Follow the instructions on the screen.</li>

<p>Keep in mind that when you add an investment this way, its value is also entered as a decrease in the cash register of the investment account. If you don't want to do this, leave the <emph>Transfer from</emph> box blank and click <emph>No</emph> when asked if you want to track cash transactions.</p>
