<p>You might do this if you are no longer financially responsible for a dependent, if you planned for more children than you have, or if you no longer plan to have an adult dependent live with you in the future.</p>

<li>On the <emph>Planner</emph> menu, click <emph>Lifetime Planner</emph>.</li>
<li>In the left pane, click <emph>About You</emph>.</li>
<li>Under <emph>Children and/or dependents</emph>, click the dependent you want to delete.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Delete</emph>, and then click <emph>Yes</emph> to confirm the deletion.</li>
</ol>
<p variant="note">If your plan has the dependent linked to income or expenses, those records will be deleted as well.</p>

<p>No. Instead, just go to the <emph>Other Income</emph> page, <emph>Living Expenses</emph> page, or <emph>College & Other Expenses</emph> page in the Lifetime Planner and adjust the income and expenses as needed.</p>

<tease>Can I temporarily take a dependent out of my plan?</tease>

<p>No. However, you can temporarily exclude income and expenses associated with a dependent. To exclude income, go to the <emph>Other Income</emph> page. Click the item you want to exclude, and then select the <emph>Exclude <income name> from my Lifetime Plan</emph> check box. To exclude expenses, go to the <emph>Living Expenses</emph> or <emph>College & Other Expenses</emph> page. Click an expense, and then select the <emph>Exclude <expense name> from my Lifetime Plan</emph> check box.</p>
