  1. THE START-UP DIALOG
  2.  
  3. When you start Opera, a welcome dialog appears with two essential
  4. choices on how you want to use Opera:
  5.  
  6.   a) To have all Opera windows inside a single Opera application
  7.      (Multiple Document Interface)
  8.  
  9.   b) To have a separate application window for each Opera window
  10.      (Single Document Interface)
  11.  
  12. Click on the image that corresponds to your preference. This setting
  13. can not be changed while running Opera.

  17. In addition, you can choose what windows to show when starting Opera:
  18.  
  19.   a) Continue browsing where you exited Opera last time
  20.   b) Show a particular set of windows you have saved earlier
  21.   c) Show your favorite start page
  22.   d) Start without any windows
  23.  
  24. If you want Opera to start in the same way every time, you can choose
  25. not to show this dialog on normal start-up.

  29. If Opera exits involuntarily because of a problem, the start-up
  30. dialog will always appear the next time you start Opera, to help you
  31. deal with the problem. If the problem persists, try starting with no
  32. windows.

  34. Sometimes, the problem can be caused by communication with the
  35. network. If you are technically familiar with network communication,
  36. you may change some of the network preferences to help you get back
  37. to normal browsing again.
