  26. GoldWave is a sound editor, player, recorder, and converter
  27. for Windows 95/NT.

  77. 2.0 Installation, Uninstall

  80. 2.1) Installation
  81.  
  82. Create a "goldwave" directory and unzip or copy all files
  83. into that directory.  Create a short cut to "goldwave.exe".
  84.  
  85. Search your system for the file BWCC32.DLL.  If you find any
  86. copies, check the date.  If the BWCC32.DLL file included with
  87. GoldWave is newer, replace all old copies with the one
  88. included with GoldWave.  Copy BWCC32.DLL to the Windows\System
  89. (or Win95\system or Winnt\System) directory if it is not
  90. there already.  You should restart Windows to remove any old
  91. copies from memory.

  94. 2.2) Uninstall

  96. Delete the following files from your Windows directory:
  97.     express.eqx
  98.     gwpreset.ini
  99.     goldwave.ini
  100. Other files are listed in section 4.0.

  102. Generally, BWCC32.DLL should not be deleted from the 
  103. Windows\System directory as it may be required by other
  104. applications.

  108. 3.0 Important Additional Notes
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------

  111. 3.1) Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 or later is required to
  112. run this version.  A Pentium processor is recommended.
  113.  
  114. 3.2) GoldWave includes a recent version of BWCC32.DLL
  115. from Borland.  GoldWave checks for this version of BWCC32.DLL
  116. (or a newer one).  If you get an error message, you should
  117. delete any older copies of BWCC32.DLL or replace them with the
  118. one included with GoldWave.  You may have to restart Windows
  119. to remove the older BWCC32.DLL from memory.  Only one copy of
  120. BWCC32.DLL is needed and should be kept in the Windows system
  121. directory.

  123. 3.3) In order to get the scope working correctly, you might
  124. have to change the positioning method in the Device Controls
  125. Setup.
  126.  
  127. 3.4) If GoldWave crashes during playback or recording,
  128. contact your sound card manufacturer to obtain an updated
  129. driver.  Some drivers are available from the World Wide Web.

  131. manufacturers.
