  32. For all accelerator cards, please ensure you have the latest drivers (in some
  33. cases later than those supplied with the full version of DirectX 5) as many
  34. of the earlier drivers had minor bugs.

  36. Known problems & tips

  38. Occasionally textures fail to load correctly, but switching out to Windows and
  39. back again fixes this.
  40.  
  41. Because the game doesn't take total control over your machine, running other
  42. applications at the same time can result in severe slow-down.  If you want to
  43. get the best performance, close everything else.

  45. If the game is really slow, you can help speed it up by changing the display
  46. settings in the pause menu (or the config file) to remove the sky, the sea, or
  47. to reduce the resolution.

  50. Configuration File
  51. ------------------
  52. The configuration file is like most Windows .ini files.  The sections most
  53. likely to be worth changing yourself are the player controls, since the demo
  54. version doesn't include the front-end, and hence has no means of changing the
  55. controls.  To use a joystick, swap the player 2 section with the player 1
  56. section, and redefine the buttons to your own preference.  Most of the rest of
  57. the options can either be changed in game from the pause menu, or have no effect.
