  73. - If the game is run under Windows 2000, the game sometimes crashes when using
  74.   the key combinations "Ctrl-Alt-Del" or "Alt-Tab".
  75. - Under Windows XP, some key combinations that include "Shift" might not work.
  76. - You are able to bless certain groups of workers, even if none of these workers
  77.   actually live in your settlement.
  78. - Voices may overlap.
  79. - The Tutorial cannot be saved.
  80. - The Forger occupies vacant space in Residences and Farms, but he does not go
  81.   to eat or sleep. Also, he doesn┤t show any interest in the alarm.

  289. LICENCE TO USE THE MULTIMEDIA PRODUCT

  291. Please read this Licence carefully before installing the game ("Multimedia
  292. Product"). This Licence is an agreement between you, the "User", and Ubisoft
  293. and/or its licensors and/or its beneficiaries ("Ubisoft"), which grants the User
  294. the non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Multimedia Product.
  295. By installing the Multimedia Product, the User is undertaking to respect the
  296. terms and conditions of the Licence.

  298. 1- The Licence

  300. Ubisoft grants the User a non-exclusive and non-transferable Licence to use the
  301. Multimedia Product, but remains the owner of all the rights relating thereto.
  302. Any rights not specifically transferred by this Licence remain the property of
  303. Ubisoft. The Multimedia Product is licensed and not sold to the User, for
  304. private use. The Licence does not confer any right or title to the Multimedia
  305. Product and cannot be understood as a transfer of intellectual property rights
  306. to the Multimedia Product.

  308. 2- Ownership of the Multimedia Product
  309.  
  310. The User recognises that all of the rights associated with the Multimedia Product
  311. and its components (in particular the titles, computer codes, themes, characters,
  312. character names, plots, stories, dialogues, places, concepts, images,
  313. photographs, animation, videos, music and text contained in the Multimedia
  314. Product), as well as the rights relating to the trademark, royalties and
  315. copyrights, are the property of Ubisoft and are protected by French regulations
  316. or other Laws, Treaties and international agreements concerning intellectual
  317. property.

  319. 3- Use of the Multimedia Product
  320.  
  321. The User is authorised to use the Multimedia Product in accordance with the
  322. instructions provided in the manual or on the packaging of the Multimedia
  323. Product. The Licence is granted solely for private use.
  324.  
  325. It is not permitted:
  326. - To make copies of the Multimedia Product,
  327. - To operate the Multimedia Product commercially,
  328. - To use it contrary to morality or the laws in force,
  329. - To modify the Multimedia Product or create any derived work,
  330. - To transmit the Multimedia Product via a telephone network or any other
  331.   electronic means, except during multi-player games on authorised networks,
  332. - To create or distribute unauthorised levels and/or scenarios,
  333. - To decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the Multimedia Product.

  335. The User cannot sell, sublicense or lease the Multimedia Product to a third
  336. party. The User can only transfer the Multimedia Product if the recipient agrees
  337. to the terms and conditions of the Licence. In this event, the User undertakes to
  338. transfer all components and documentation relating to the Multimedia Product. He
  339. also undertakes to delete any copy of the Multimedia Product from his computer.
  340. In this event, this Licence is automatically and immediately terminated.
  341.  
  342. 4- Termination of the Licence
  343.  
  344. The Licence is effective from the first time the Multimedia Product is used.
  345. It is terminated automatically by Ubisoft without notice if the User fails to
  346. adhere to the terms and conditions of the Licence.

  348. 5- Warranty
  349.  
  350. Ubisoft offers Technical Support. When you call, please be as specific as you can
  351. be about the problem you are experiencing and have the below details available:
  352.  
  353. - The name of the manufacturer of your computer system
  354. - The brand and speed of the processor
  355. - How much RAM you have
  356. - The version number of windows you are using (if you aren't sure, right-click on
  357.   the my computer icon on your desktop and select "properties")
  358. - The manufacturer name and model number of your video card, modem, and sound card.
  359.  
  360. Ubisoft guarantees to the original buyer of the Multimedia Product that the
  361. compact disc (CD) supplied with this Multimedia Product shall not show any fault
  362. during a normal-use period of ninety (90) days from the invoiced date of
  363. purchase, or any other longer warranty time period provided by applicable
  364. legislation.

  366. Please return any defective Multimedia Product by registered letter together with
  367. this manual and your registration card if you have not already sent it to us.
  368. Please state your full name and address (including postcode), as well as the date
  369. and location of purchase. You may also exchange the multimedia product at the
  370. place of purchase.

  372. If a disc is returned without proof of purchase or after the warranty period has
  373. expired, Ubisoft will choose either to repair or to replace it at customer
  374. expense. This warranty is invalid if the disc has been damaged through negligence,
  375. accident or misuse, or if it has been modified after acquisition.
  376.  
  377. 6- Warrantee Limitation
  378.  
  379. The User recognises expressly that he uses the Multimedia Product at his own
  380. risk. The Multimedia Product is provided as is, without any warranty other than
  381. what is laid down in Article 5 of the Licence.
  382. The User is responsible for any costs of repairing and/or correcting the
  383. multimedia product.
  384. To the extent of what is laid down by law, Ubisoft rejects any warranty relating
  385. to the market value of the Multimedia Product, the User's satisfaction or its
  386. capacity to perform a specific use.
  387. The User is responsible for all risks connected with lost profit, lost data,
  388. errors and lost business or other information as a result of owning or using the
  389. multimedia product.
  390. As some legislations do not allow for the aforementioned warranty limitation, it
  391. is possible that it does not apply to the User.
  392.  
  393. 7- Liability
  394.  
  395. In no event can Ubisoft be held liable for any direct, consequential, accidental,
  396. special, ancillary or other damages arising out of the use or inability to use
  397. the Multimedia Product, as well as out of the ownership or poor functioning
  398. thereof, even if Ubisoft has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  399. In particular, Ubisoft accepts no liability regarding use of the Multimedia
  400. Product contrary to the precautions for use set out in the manual and on the
  401. packaging.
  402. As some legislations do not allow exemption from liability in the event of direct
  403. or incidental damages, it is possible that the aforementioned exclusion does not
  404. apply to the User.
  405. This Licence to use the Multimedia Product grants specific rights to the User and
  406. he may have other rights depending on the laws in his State.
