  4. PATCH SUMMARY:
  5.  
  6. These OS/2 utilities are for all versions of the requester (except
  7. Rprinter.exe which is only for requester v2.0) and fix a problem when
  8. a user performs a login to a network between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
  9. The old utilities would report the login time as am rather than pm.
  10. The new utilities report the correct pm login time.
  11.  
  12. Ncopy addresses an issue when copying files from a local drive to a 
  13. network drive and receiving the error "Error copying file".  It also
  14. addresses issues with the directory path needing a leading slash and 
  15. whether the default drive or volume is followed by a ":".
  16.  
  17. Rprinter v2.00 corrects a problem getting a SYS3175 error when running
  18. Rprinter and loading a pre-defined printer. (Requester v2.0 only)
  19.  
  20. REMOCON.EXE provides Remote Console access to one or more servers.  It is
  21. a PM application and can be run multiple times to access multiple servers
  22. simultaneously.  REMOCON.HLP is the help file for Remote Console.

  39. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  41. 1)    Make backup copies of the USERLIST.EXE, LOGOUT.EXE, WHOAMI.EXE, and
  42.     NCOPY.EXE, files found in the PUBLIC/OS2 directory on your system.
  43. 2)    Copy USERLIST.EXE, LOGOUT.EXE, WHOAMI.EXE, and NCOPY.EXE, to the
  44.     PUBLIC\OS2 directory on your system.
  45.  
  46. TO INSTALL RPRINTER:
  47.  
  48. 1)    Make a backup copy of the RPRINTER.EXE which is on the workstations
  49.     local drive in the NetWare directory.
  50. 2)    Copy RPRINTER.EXE to the NetWare directory on the local drive of
  51.     your workstation.

  53. TO INSTALL REMOCON:
  54.  
  55.     Copy REMOCON.EXE and REMOCON.HLP to a network or a local directory.
  56.     (DBAPI.DLL and BTRCALLS.DLL must be accessible as well)

  58.     Create a Remote Console icon on the desktop with the following
  59.  
  60.     Path        <path>\REMOCON.EXE
  61.     Parameters    <none>
  62.     Working Dir    <path>

  64.     REMOCON.EXE can also be executed from the command line by
  65.  
  66.     Change to the path where REMOCON.EXE is stored and type
  67.     REMOCON.

  70. If you are using NWTOOLS to login to your server you must pull down the
  71. server menu and select a server as primary.
