Transcription: The use of robots has led to the automation of many processes in the building of cars. Although robots came into use in the early 1960s, computer advances in the 70s and 80s made possible the greatest improvements in robotics. The complex calculations needed for robots to perform their tasks would be impossible without computers. These NASA robots have been programmed to simulate the movement of the human arm and hand. They can be used to lift, search, clean, or in this case, act as a space platform.
