  1. THIS IS THE EUROPEAN* UPGRADE PATCH TO MAKE CONSTRUCTOR DOS A WINDOWS 95 NATIVE GAME.
  2.           (THE ITALIAN VERSION NEEDS TO BE DOWNLOADED SEPARATELY)

  5. NOTE: This document assumes that you are familiar with basic Windows 95. When 
  6. installing the patch, make sure you have your CONSTRUCTOR CD in the CD-ROM drive 
  7. ( usually drive "D:\" but may be different depending on the configuration of 
  8. your PC. )
  9.  
  10. STEP 1  
  11. Download the patch to upgrade from DOS to Windows 95 from the Internet, 
  12. and place the patch in a temporary directory.
  13.  
  14. STEP 2
  15. Uncompress the patch file into the temporary directory.
  16.  
  17. STEP 3
  18. Double click on the "SETUP.EXE" file. This will start the installation of the 
  19. CONSTRUCTOR upgrade. The program will ask to know what CD-ROM drive you will 
  20. be installing CONSTRUCTOR from ( Usually drive "D:\" but may be different 
  21. depending on your configuration. ) the default drive is "D:\" if your CD-ROM 
  22. drive is other than this, please type in the correct drive.

  24. STEP 4
  25. The CONSTRUCTOR upgrade needs certain programs installed for the game to work 
  26. in Windows 95. This patch contains all the programs needed for CONSTRUCTOR to 
  27. run. You will be prompted to install these programs, it is recommended that you 
  28. do so, if prompted to install them.

  30. STEP 5
  31. The setup program will allow you to install three different types of 
  32. installations, regardless of the size that you originally installed the game. 
  33. There is "MINIMUM", "MEDIUM" and "FULL" installs. Please note that the default 
  34. location for the setup program is to put the game in directory 
  35. "\PROGRAM FILES\ACCLAIM\CN". NOTE: If you select to put the upgrade version in 
  36. a different directory other than the directory that you installed the original 
  37. version you will have two copies of CONSTRUCTOR on your hard drive.

  39. STEP 6
  40. When the setup program is done, it may ask you to re-start, please restart if 
  41. prompted. When you are ready to start the new version of CONSTRUCTOR, select 
  42. the program from the START menu/PROGRAMS/ACCLAIM.
