  23. Montezuma's Return requires a Pentium PC with 16M RAM minimum.
  24. The recommended system is a Pentium 133 with 32M RAM.
  25.  
  26. The full demo requires 62M of hard drive space.  An additional
  27. 32M of hard drive space is needed when running with 16M RAM.
  28.  
  29. DirectX 3.0 or newer is needed for the W95 version.

  31. 2. Getting started
  32.  
  33.   It is recommended that you exit all windows before executing 
  34. Montezuma's Return.  Before running the DOS version for the first time
  35. run the DOS setup program.
  36.  
  37. 3.  The complete version of Montezuma's Return will be available in
  38. November 1997.  It will have 12 levels, including the demo introductory
  39. level.

  47. 5. Troubleshooting
  48.  
  49.  a. No music when running in the DOS version.
  50.    
  51.    Run the DOS setup program (msetup.exe).  Make sure that your DOS 
  52. audio drivers are properly installed and current.  
  53.  
  54.  b. The program exits during the scrollbar
  55.  
  56.   This is probably a memory error.  If you're using a 16Meg system, see
  57. "Notes for 16 Meg systems".
  58.  
  59.  c. The DOS version exits before the title screen.
  60.  
  61.   This is probably a sound configuration problem.  Run the DOS setup 
  62. program (msetup.exe).  If all else fails, set the MIDI and digital 
  63. drivers to "NO audio".  The W95 version will probably work.
  64.  
  65.  d.  DOS setup fails after configuring audio.
  66.  
  67.   From a DOS prompt, try attrib -h *.*, then try running msetup.exe 
  68. again.

  70. 6.  Known bugs
  71.  
  72.   There is a known bug when running the DOS version on a 16Meg system.
  73. Sometimes the audio will become distorted.

  79. 8.  Special notes for 16Meg systems
  80.  
  81.   For 16Meg systems you must use the W95 version or run the DOS version
  82. from the ICON.  Be sure to close all other windows before attempting
  83. to run Montezuma's Return.  The game requires virtual memory.  You can 
  84. configure a DOS window by setting the "properties->memory" and setting 
  85. DPMI to 32768.  Also, see "known bugs".
