- DYNAMATE INSTRUCTIONS
-
-
-
- This is the instructions that also can be found in the game.
-
- When you start the game move your joystick up or down to select
- different functions. To choose the selected function press your
- joystickbutton.
-
- You can choose between these functions:
-
-
-
- PASSWORD
-
-
-
- Allows you to change the current password. Type in the password using
- the keyboard, then press <RETURN>.
-
-
-
- INFO
-
-
-
- This will show you the game instructions.
-
-
-
- QUIT
-
-
-
- Will end the game and return to dos/workbench.
-
-
-
- START!
-
-
-
- When you start the game a black "cursor" and a couple of pieces will
- appear. Some of the pieces are movable and some are not.
-
- To move a piece, place the cursor over the piece, press the button, keep
- it pressed and pull the joystick in the direction you want the piece to
- go.
-
- The game is divided in many different puzzles. To complete a puzzle you
- must explode all bombs by sending the right pieces on eachother.
-
-
-
- These are the different pieces:
-
-
-
- MOVABLE: Bombs, Teleports and Lightgrey pieces
-
-
-
- UNMOVABLE: Darkgrey pieces, singlemovers and extratimers
-
-
-
- The movable pieces will slide until they stop toward something while the
- unmovable pieces are unmovable (surprise?).
-
-
-
- The darkgrey pieces:
-
- These pieces you can't move or destroy in any way, but make other pieces
- stop.
-
-
-
- The lightgrey pieces:
-
- These pieces you can move but not destroy. You can't explode any bombs
- with them either.
-
-
-
- Extratimers:
-
- Sending a bomb at it will make it disappear and you'll get extratime.
-
-
-
- Singlemovers:
-
- Sending a bomb on one of these will make the cursor grey. In the
- following three or five moves you can only move the pieces one step per
- move. The pieces won't slide away.
-
-
-
- Teleports:
-
- The teleports works in pairs only. If you send a piece into one of the
- teleports it will continue in the same direction but from the other
- teleport. If the piece can't come out of the teleport (it can be
- blocked) it will stop next to the first. You can't send one of the
- teleports through the other.
-
-
-
- The bombs:
-
-
-
- This is the complicated part of Dynamate, there are red, green, blue,
- yellow and black bombs who all have different functions. As mentioned,
- to complete a puzzle you have to explode all bombs.
-
-
-
- The first three bombs works like this:
-
- Red on Green will cause an explosion, so will
-
- Green on Blue, also
-
- Blue on Red.
-
-
-
- Notice that these bombs has the same "power".
-
-
-
- To make the puzzles a little bit more complex we added another two
- bombs, the yellow and the black.
-
-
-
- You can say that the black is the "strongest" bomb. It will cause an
- explosion no matter what colour the other bombs has. No bomb (except the
- black) will explode while hitting the black.
-
-
-
- The yellow bomb is kind of the opposite to the black, every bomb (except
- the yellow) will cause an explosion while hitting the yellow. The yellow
- bomb will not cause an explosion no matter what bomb it hits.
-
-
-
- If we draw a schedule it looks something like this:
-
-
-
- Black
-
-
-
- Red - Green - Blue - Red - Green - Blue
-
-
-
- Yellow
-
-
-
- If there are a row of bombs, the sliding bomb will explode all bombs in
- the "right" colours.
-
-
-
- Phew!
-
-
-
- You will get it after a short time playing (we hope).
-
-
-
- You can fail in four ways. Send a piece out of the screen, run out of
- time, make more than 99 moves and pressing the escape key.
-
-
-
- End of instructions.
