- Greetings...
-
- This is the second edition of the KNOWN MODEM INIT STRINGS FOR DOOM (KNISFD).
- I am proud to say that it has increased in size. However, I cannot promise
- it has increased in accuracy. It seems that some modems and connections
- vary differently even between the same modem! So, if you see a string on
- here that you can't get to work, it doesn't mean it doesn't work....
-
- Understand?
-
- If you see a typo, please report it.
-
-
- BEG BEG BEG:
-
- Please, if your modem is not on this list, and you have it working,
- email:
-
- barry@noc.unt.edu
-
- with the type of modem, init string, and hangup string if different.
-
- Thanks goes to all the posters who I stole this stuff from.
- I do not know if these settings work... I am just trying to be nice,
- so don't flame me if your modem still doesn't work.
-
- If you have any suggestions or other additions you would like to see
- included in the MODEM DOOM FAQ, please send you suggestions to the
- above address. Eventually, I will get around to either sending them
- to Hank or compiling them with this or another DOOM document.

- In your favorite terminal program, type "AT &F" BEFORE running
- DOOM. Then, put the following initialization string in the MODEM.CFG.
- Putting "AT &F" in the string does not work.
