  4. READ THIS FILE COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO USE THIS PRODUCT !
  5.  
  6. You must run QUICK SETUP from the Main Menu and select an appropriate
  7. monitor type, prior to installing the AutoShade Display Driver.
  8.  
  9. IMPORTANT: This driver is intended for use with AutoShade when used
  10.            in conjunction with Renderman.
  11.

  14. 1.0     Installation Notes for AutoShade
  15.  
  16. 1) Make sure AutoShade has already been installed on your hard drive.
  17.  
  18. 2) To complete the install successfully, you will require the following
  19.    information:
  20.  
  21.     a) The full path name of the AutoShade directory.
  22.     b) The ATI batch file is called ADISHADE.BAT.
  23.  
  24. 3) From the "Drivers Installation" menu, select AutoShade.
  25.  
  26. 4) When INSTALL has completed copying all necessary files, exit the
  27.    program.
  28.  
  29. 5) Go to the directory where the 386 Protected mode driver files are
  30.    installed, and run ADISHADE.BAT.
  31.  
  32. 6) Go to your AutoShade directory:
  33.  
  34.     a) Run AutoShade with the option -R to configure the video display
  35.        ( eg: SHADE -R ).
  36.     b) Select "P386 Autodesk Device Interface display driver", for
  37.        the display driver.
  38.     c) Configure the video mode.
  39.     d) Select "P386 Autodesk Device Interface rendering driver", for
  40.        the rendering Driver.
  41.     e) Configure the rendering mode.
