  6. You must run QUICK SETUP from the Main Menu and select an appropriate
  7. monitor type, prior to installing the Windows Display Drivers.

  18. 1.0     Installation Notes for Windows 3.1/3.11 Display Driver

  20. IMPORTANT:  This driver will function in Enhanced mode only and requires 
  21.             Windows 3.1 or Windows for WorkGroups 3.1 or 3.11
  22.  
  23. 1) From the Install Enhanced Drivers menu select Microsoft Windows.
  24.  
  25. 2) To complete the install successfully, you will require the following
  26.    information:
  27.  
  28.     a) The full path name for the Windows directory.
  29.  
  30. 3) Select Install Windows 3.1 driver:
  31.  
  32.     a) Select Display Drivers only
  33.         - if you have NOT installed Windows based multimedia applications
  34.          (e.g. Multimedia CD-ROMS, Video editing packages)
  35.  
  36.     b) Select Display Drivers + Software Mpeg
  37.        - if you have installed Windows based multimedia applications
  38.          (e.g. Multimedia CD-ROMS, Video editing packages)
  39.  
  40. 4) When INSTALL reports that the driver has been successfully installed,
  41.    exit the program.
  42.  
  43. 5) Start Windows and go to the ATI Desktop Group and double click on the
  44.    icon to start.
  45.  
  46. 6) Open the FlexDesk+ icon and configure Windows for the desired resolution
  47.    and color depth.
  48.  
  49. For further information regarding the mach64 Windows functions please use
  50. MS Write to read the MACH64.WRI file.  This Write file is located in the
  51. ATI\ATIDESK subdirectory (default), if the display driver has been
  52. previously installed.

  54. 2.0     Uninstalling the Windows 3.1/3.11
  55.  
  56. 1) From the Install Enhanced Drivers windows select Uninstall Windows 3.1 
  57.    driver.
  58.  
  59. 2) To complete the uninstall successfully, you will require the following
  60.    information:
  61.  
  62.     a) The full path name for the Windows directory.
  63.  
  64. 3) Select Uninstall Windows 3.1 driver.
  65.  
  66. 4) When the uninstall is completed, exit to DOS.
  67.  
  68. 5) Change directory to the Windows directory and run SETUP.
  69.  
  70. 6) Select VGA (640x480 16) or SVGA (800x600, 16) for your display.

  76. disk for further information.
