  4. *** MILLER FREEMAN LAUNCHES OS/2 MAGAZINE ***

  6. SAN FRANCISCO -- Miller Freeman, Inc. today announced the launch
  7. of OS/2 MAGAZINE out of its San Francisco headquarters.
  8.  
  9. OS/2 MAGAZINE is focused on users and system administrators who
  10. work with IBM's OS/2 operating system on a daily basis. "OS/2 
  11. MAGAZINE represents another step in developing a well-rounded 
  12. group of top-notch computer and electronics magazines here at 
  13. Miller Freeman," said Don Pazour, Vice-President of Miller 
  14. Freeman's High-Tech Division.

  16. Ted Bahr, Group Publisher of the company's Electronics/Design 
  17. Group, was named Publisher of OS/2 MAGAZINE, and added, "No 
  18. major publishing company is currently serving those individuals 
  19. and corporate users and systems administrators who have chosen 
  20. OS/2 as their operating system. OS/2 users are hardcore 
  21. enthusiasts and OS/2 MAGAZINE will be serving a definite need 
  22. in this growing market."

  24. The first issue of OS/2 MAGAZINE will hit newsstands in 
  25. mid-November 1993, and will be distributed at Fall Comdex in Las
  26. Vegas. Monthly publication begins with the February 1994 issue. 
  27. OS/2 MAGAZINE will be distributed through paid subscriptions 
  28. and on newsstands. "We believe paid circulation is important in 
  29. satisfying advertisers' needs to reach a qualified audience," 
  30. Bahr explained. OS/2 MAGAZINE will be audited as soon as 
  31. possible.

  33. Effective immediately, Miller Freeman has appointed Alan 
  34. Zeichick as Editor-in-Chief of OS/2 MAGAZINE. "OS/2 is the most
  35. popular 32-bit operating system for IBM-compatible personal
  36. computers," Zeichick said. "Members of the OS/2 user community,
  37. whether individuals, small businesses, or large corporations,
  38. are looking for a dedicated source of information about how to
  39. maximize their productivity."
