  8. Visage is an IFF ILBM/JPeg/PNG/Datatypes viewer for the AmigaOS version 3.0
  9. and higher. Main features include:
  10.  
  11.     Supports AA (AGA), ECS, RTG, PCHG, SHAM and CLUT. ;)
  12.  
  13.     Can display "deep" pictures in all formats on ECS Amigas, rendered
  14.     in HAM, "normal" color or grayscale.
  15.  
  16.     Can scale "rendered" pictures to fit the screen.
  17.  
  18.     Extensive monitor support. Uses a BestModeID()-like function to
  19.     find a suitable mode (if needed).
  20.  
  21.     Any native Amiga screen mode can be specified with text! No numbers
  22.     needed. But you can use numbers, if you so wish. Or a requester.
  23.  
  24.     Simple promotion of pictures to any installed monitor. No hardcoded
  25.     command line options for this. There is even a monitor requester.

  27.     Several slideshow options, including a random mode, making Visage
  28.     ideal for use with screen blankers as an external module.

  35.     GIF support removed (due to unreasonable (IMHO) licensing
  36.     conditions by Unisys). This is why this release is called
  37.     VisageNG. NG for "No GIF". ;/

  39.     PNG support added. Based on libpng/zlib, so it could probably be a
  40.     bit smaller (and maybe even faster), but it is there, and it works.

  43.     JPEG reader rewritten to use the IJG sources directly. This means
  44.     that progressive JPEGs are finally supported.

  46.     CyberGraphX support added (bought myself a gfx-card ;).

  49.     able to read from pipes now (including Xpk compressed IFFs).

  64. ShellInstall script. It sets the parameters correctly.
