  16.     A new 16-bit stereo sound sample editor designed for easy use, featuring
  17. a versatile developers interface for an expandable system. To fulfil this
  18. design SamEd has the following features:
  19.  
  20.     · Uses AHI to be compatable with the majority of sound hardware;
  21.  
  22.     · Uses MUI for several reasons including to speed up development & to
  23.         supply a customisable interface;
  24.  
  25.     · Has only one edit window. You only edit the sample you can see;
  26.  
  27.     · The (theoretical) maximum sample size is over two thousand mega bytes
  28.         long;
  29.  
  30.     · Copes with 8 / 16 bit, mono / stereo samples;
  31.  
  32.     · Loades and saves samples through 'filers'. More filers can be produced
  33.         for different file types. RAW samples are loaded internally by SamEd;
  34.  
  35.     · A powerful 'external process' launcher allows any developer to produce
  36.         his or her own sound effects. This system relies on multitasking and
  37.         creates a multithreaded editing system;

  40. The requirements of this program are:

  44.     · AmigaOS 3.0;
  45.     · about 200K chip and 640K fast RAM (quick estimate). This will increase
  46.         as you load samples and open effect windows;
  47.     · I recomend you have a 640 * 400 srceen, and a few MB of fast RAM.
