  11.   Highly configurable launching tool for almost ANY purpose. But
  12.   it is not yet another program like toolsdeamon or toolmanager.
  13.   Selector serves as a complement to these types of programs. It's
  14.   more like a script language.

  16.   You can for example make a button panel that follows you from
  17.   screen to screen when changing screens. Or a button panel (or menu)
  18.   that pops up ANYWHERE when pressing your middle mouse button.
  19.   (Or when pressing both mouse buttons together.)

  21.   You can make a button for starting a program if it's not allready
  22.   open, else just jump to that programs screen. This is very comfortable,
  23.   as you allways press the same button to get to the programs screen,
  24.   regardless if it's open or not.

  26.   You can make a special window only available on (for example) your
  27.   word processors screen, with buttons for starting different arexx
  28.   scripts for that program.

  30.   Selector is a powerful tool to use within shell scripts or to
  31.   make a little GUI for your CLI type program.

  33.   The possible use of selector is almost unlimited, yet the syntax
  34.   is very simple.

  37.   requester with selector.

  54.    This version of selector has in principle been ready since October 1998.
  55.    The only thing that not was ready was this version history and some
  56.    new icons. I have been occupied with other projects. For example

  69.    graphics, music, sound effects, speech. Nice YAM integration!

  73.    explaining of the late release! Now on to the selecor news:

  75.   -New command "draw". Let's you draw lines, boxes and other figures
  76.    in a selector window. The idea and the way it works comes
  77.    directly from BorayLetter! But the coordinates are better that
  78.    BorayLetter's as selector's "coordinates" are button/window
  79.    relative and scalable. You can also press "d" to get to a drawing tool!
  80.    No need for commands. You probably like command (as you are
  81.    using selector) but it's much easier with the drawing tool.
  82.    The drawing tool is adding draw commands to the script for you.

  84.   -New command "drawcol". Sets the color for the draw command.

  86.   -New commands "sortbuttons" and "sorttext" to sort the contents of a window.

  116.     Do you have a problem remembering peoples birthdays?
  117.     And how many years they celebrate? I had, and that's
  118.     why I made these two programs. Now, I have used ALM
  119.     in over 6 years, and I never miss a birthday or
  120.     anything else imortant any longer!!! You only have to
  121.     type in the birthdays ONCE with the "ALM.Editor" as
  122.     there is only ONE year to edit. Then put and configure
  123.     "ShowALM" in your startup, and that's it!!!

  125.     But you can also write in temporary notes in the
  126.     calendar, and then easily delete them again, without
  127.     deleting the resident notes. You can even let ShowALM
  128.     to delete them automatically when not needed any
  129.     longer.

  131.     ALM needs an Amiga Classic with AmigaDos 2.0 or better.
