  6. AmigaElm    Electronic Mail Reader for all known UUCP packages (Amiga,
  7.         Smith, Dillon, Feulner, wusel etc.), easy to install and to
  8.         use. Mostly compatible with Unix-elm (basic functions) and
  9.         lots of additional features.  AmigaOS 2.0+ required.
  10.         Basic internal support for MIME (multimedia mail) and en-
  11.         cryption/decryption (eg, with PGP). Also supports "metamail"
  12.         and "reqtools" library 2.x.
  13.         This is version 5 (5.42), Shareware, binary only. Registered
  14.         version comes with full C source (and has better support ;-)

  18. Changes since version 4:
  19.  
  20.  - Now when launching programs, AmigaElm checks return code and
  21.     pops up requester if command wasn't found or returned != 0.
  22.  - New script "DecodeNeXTmail" decodes NeXTmail and shows
  23.     contents in raw format.
  24.  - Some experimental RFC1522 handling (special chars within header) for
  25.     incoming mail. Please, don't expect this to be a full-blown RFC1522
  26.     support - IT IS NOT. And you're still NOT ALLOWED to use special
  27.     chars (eg, 8-bit-chars) within the header of outgoing mail.
  28.  - Special chars in own realname of outgoing mail are now automatically
  29.     encoded according to RFC1552. You're still NOT ALLOWED to use special
  30.     chars (eg, 8-bit-chars) within other header fields of outgoing mail.
  31.  - Improved ^L (formfeed, ctrl-l) handling.
  32.  - If Elm runs in its own window and is iconified, the close gadget is
  33.     no longer ignored. It will exit Elm (w/o saving the folder) like it
  34.     does in un-iconified state.
  35.  - Title bar displays current page number and total number of pages.
  36.     (proportional font is recommended ;-)
  37.  - If in iconified state, window title was wrong sometimes.

  39.  - New menu entry (with shortcut) for iconifying Elm's window.
  40.  - A "From " line followed by a ">From " line (generated by some
  41.     mail-list software) is now recognized as beginning of a new
  42.     mail message.
  43.  - Keeping of old UID/GID of folder had never worked. Works now!
  44.  - Fixed bug: "Send-off Window" didn't always open on same screen
  45.     as Elm's main window (but on default screen).
  46.  - On change folder (key 'c') status flags of messages in current
  47.     folder (recognized by its message-ids) are no longer preserved.
  48.     Status flags are only kept when resyncing (re-read) current folder.
  49.  - On index screen, command key "=" jumps to first message in folder.
  50.  - Command keys "j" and "k" now skip over deleted messages, "J" and "K"
  51.     do not (like Unix-Elm).  Keys "j/J/k/K" will also work from within
  52.     builtin pager.
  53.  - Environment variables LINES and COLUMNS override window bounds
  54.     from Amiga console.device.
  55.     (if env vars are set, no CSI sequence is sent)
  56.  - Bounce-Flag for mails wasn't saved.
  57.  - MIME-Encoding "7bit" (Send-off Window) now re-enabled to strip off
  58.     8th bit in messages. German umlauts (Σ÷ⁿ▀─╓▄) will be converted.
