  2. Note to TIADCC users
  3. --------------------

  5. TIADCC is no longer supported through the $TIADCC environment variable.
  6. Instead the port range is now configurable on the Network setup page, and
  7. the hostname is read from the $HOSTNAME environment variable, which is
  8. automatically set by the TCP/IP stack.

  10. If your TCP/IP stack doesn't know your external IP (e.g. when having a
  11. router that gives a LAN IP when looking up $HOSTNAME), you have to set it
  12. manually in $HOSTNAME -- just like it was set in $TIADCC in the past.

  14. If $HOSTNAME for some reason can't be read, the hostname can manually be
  15. configured in the GUI (Network page). AmIRC will read $TIADCC on first
  16. startup when TIADCC isn't already configured, and get hostname and port
  17. range from here.
