- Note to TIADCC users
- --------------------
-
- TIADCC is no longer supported through the $TIADCC environment variable.
- Instead the port range is now configurable on the Network setup page, and
- the hostname is read from the $HOSTNAME environment variable, which is
- automatically set by the TCP/IP stack.
-
- If your TCP/IP stack doesn't know your external IP (e.g. when having a
- router that gives a LAN IP when looking up $HOSTNAME), you have to set it
- manually in $HOSTNAME -- just like it was set in $TIADCC in the past.
-
- If $HOSTNAME for some reason can't be read, the hostname can manually be
- configured in the GUI (Network page). AmIRC will read $TIADCC on first
- startup when TIADCC isn't already configured, and get hostname and port
- range from here.
