  1. HOW TO UNPROTECT "WIZTYPE" by Sierra On-Line

  4. First, MAKE A COPY of the original WIZTYPE disk. NEVER, EVER,
  5. mess around with your original disk. You may use COPY *.* to make the
  6. copy.
  7.  
  8. Next, using a "Disk Zap" utility such as Norton Utilities on the copy,
  9. search the file WIZTYPE.EXE for the following hexadecimal byte strings
  10. and make the changes indicated below:

  12. Search for: CD 13 72 0D 80 FA 00
  13. Change to : B8 00 04 EB 0C 90 90
  14.  
  15. Search for: 72 08 8A 45 04 24 C0
  16. Change to : 90 90 8A 45 04 24 C0
  17.  
  18. Search for: E8 23 00 72 11 E8 17 02 72 0C
  19. Change to : E8 23 00 90 90 E8 17 02 90 90
  20.  
  21. Write all changes to disk.
  22.  
  23. WIZTYPE has been fully unprotected, and may be freely copied to ram,
  24. hard, or floppy disk.
