- Professor Iris' Animal Safari requires:
- - Minimum 8MB of RAM
- - Windows 3.1 or greater
- - Super VGA video card runing in 640 X 480 with 256 colors.

- The installer provided on this CD-ROM will install QuickTime 2.01.
- QuickTime is required to run Professor Iris' Animal Safari.
- Please be aware that for best performance, we recommend that
- you use the version of QuickTime that comes with your CD-ROM.
- Remember to restart your computer after installation.

- We recommend turning off any screensavers when using this product.

- To use the installer:
- Before starting installation you should disable and Virus protection
- software as it may cause the installer to not run properly. From the file
- menu choose File|Run and type in the drive letter of your CD-ROM followed
- by \SETUP (i.e. D:\SETUP) and click the OK button. If you do not have
- QuickTime 1.1 installed on your computer click the YES button to allow
- the installer to install QuickTime onto your computer in the C:\QTW
- directory. If you already have a copy of QuickTime in the QTW directory
- you will be asked if you want to replace it with the version on the
- CD-ROM. Once QuickTime has been installed, your AUTOEXEC.BAT file will
- be backed up and a new AUTOEXEC.BAT file will be created. This new
- AUTOEXEC.BAT file will have all of the your original AUTOEXEC.BAT
- information QTW the C:\QTW directory added to the path statement. Once
- this is done a Program Group called Professor Iris will be created, and
- an icon will be made for Professor Iris' Animal Safari. After
- installation is complete you will need to restart your computer for the
- changes in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file to take effect.

- 1. GRANT OF LICENSE: This Discovery Communications, Inc. License
- Agreement ("License") permits you to use one copy of the specified
- version of the Discovery Communications, Inc. product identified above
- ("SOFTWARE", which includes at least one CD-ROM disc or may include one
- or more floppy disks) on any single computer, provided the SOFTWARE is in
- use on only one computer at a time. The SOFTWARE is "in use" on a computer
- when it is loaded into the temporary memory (i.e., RAM) or installed in
- permanent memory (e.g., hard disk, CD-ROM, or other storage device) of
- that computer, except that a copy installed on a network server for the
- sole purpose of distribution to other computers is not "in use". If the
- anticipated number of users of the SOFTWARE will exceed the number of
- applicable Licenses, then you must have a reasonable mechanism or process
- in place to assure that the number of persons using the SOFTWARE
- concurrently does not exceed the number of Licenses. If the SOFTWARE is
- permanently installed on the hard drive or other storage device of a
- computer (other than a network server) and one person uses that computer
- more than 80% of the time it is in use, then that person may also use the
- SOFTWARE on a portable or home computer.

- 2. COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is owned by Discovery Communications, Inc. or
- its suppliers and is protected by United States copyright law and
- international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the SOFTWARE
- like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a book or musical recording).
- You may not copy the CD-ROM disc portion of the SOFTWARE or the written
- materials accompanying the SOFTWARE.

- 3. OTHER RESTRICTIONS. You may not rent or lease the SOFTWARE without
- Discovery Communications, Inc.ís prior written consent, but you may
- transfer the SOFTWARE and accompanying written materials on a permanent
- basis provided you retain no copies and the recipient agrees to the terms
- of this Agreement. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or
- disassemble the SOFTWARE. Any transfer of the SOFTWARE must include the
- most recent update and all prior versions.

- LIMITED WARRANTY
- ________________
- Discovery Communications, Inc. warrants to you, the original Licensee,
- that the SOFTWARE will perform substantially in accordance with the
- accompanying written materials for a period of 90 days from the date of
- purchase. If a disk is defective, Discovery Communications, Inc. will
- replace the disk at no charge to you, if you return the disk to Discovery
- Communications, Inc. at the address below with proof of purchase within
- 90 days after you purchased it. Your sole and exclusive remedy, and
- Discovery Communications, Inc.ís sole and exclusive liability, will be
- either replacement of the disk or a refund of the purchase price in
- accordance with this limited warranty. This limited warranty gives you
- specific legal rights. You may have others which vary from state/country
- to state/country.

- THE ABOVE WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION
- OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE MADE BY DISCOVERY
- COMMUNICATIONS, INC. OR ANYONE ELSE INVOLVED IN THE CREATION,
- PRODUCTION, DELIVERY, OR LICENSING OF THE SOFTWARE.
- FURTHERMORE, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE

- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD

- INCIDENTAL, DIRECT, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT
- OF THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF Discovery Communications, Inc. OR
- ANYONE ELSE INVOLVED IN THE CREATION, PRODUCTION, DELIVERY, OR
- LICENSING OF THE SOFTWARE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
- SUCH DAMAGES.

- This notice will be construed, interpreted, and governed by the laws of
- the state of Maryland as applied to transactions taking place entirely
- within Maryland between Maryland residents.
