- !Help for Tilt
- 4th Dimension 1996
-
- Double-click !Tilt.
-
- Start a game by pressing space or by clicking a mouse button on `Begin Game'.
- Unless the configuration has been altered, you'll have a single seesaw. Drop
- the blocks onto it.
-
- The keys are: Z - left
- X - right
- Q - clockwise (or reflect horizontally)
- A - anticlockwise (or reflect vertically)
- Space - drop quickly
-
- Make lines of three or more pieces of the same pattern to make them disappear.
- You will die if your balance tilts too much or the blocks pile up too high.
- Finish each level by making enough lines or surviving for a given time.
-
- Later levels introduce more interesting features such as larger blocks (eg
- Tetris pieces), narrower balance, a randomly moving pivot and much more besides.
-
- Click Select level to choose the start level (but after level 10, you can only begin on a level you've already reached).
-
- Press 2 on the main menu for a two player game. In this case, you'll be given
- two seesaws. Each player plays separately as usual, but can make lines with
- the tilt pieces (with opposing arrows on) to tilt the opponent's balance in the
- direction shown on them.
-
- Player 1 keys as above
- Player 2 keys: < - left
- > - right
- ? - clockwise
- " - anticlockwise
- return - drop
-
-
- The Options menu controls the sound and number of players (but #players can
- also be controlled by starting the game with the `1' or `2' keys)
- Controls menu allows you to change the keys, and select keyboard, joystick or
- mouse.
-
- You can edit the messages file to make it run in any language (but we'd like a
- copy of good translations). Make sure you check all the messages fit in place
- correctly, especially the keys, for which the space on screen is very limited.
-
- Have fun!
