Transcription: Glacial erosion. Glaciers wear away, or erode, the land that they move over. The ice pulls pieces of rock from the land beneath it. Rocks fall onto the ice from above. All of these pieces of rock become frozen into the ice. As the glacier, or ice sheet, moves, the rocks grind against the land, wearing it away. When the ice melts, the rocks are dropped on the ground. These rocks are called moraine.
