  6. The About box will give you information on how to register this program for
  7. $5 and get the password to eliminate the About Box screen each time the
  8. program is run.  If you use this program, PLEASE register in order to

  20. Version 2.15 will blank the screen if a DOS program is iconized and active
  21. but won't blank the screen if a DOS program takes up the full screen.  For
  22. some reason when the DOS program is full screen, IsIconized() returns TRUE
  23. for the Active Window.  This causes the program to blank which is undesirable.

  25. Version 2.13 will not blank the screen if a DOS program is iconized and
  26. active.  The menus were changed to be more standard with "..." after each
  27. item that needs more information.

  29. Version 2.12 will not blank the screen if a DOS program is active.

  31. Version 2.11 strengthens the password locking function.  Previous versions
  32. had a bug where a user could <ALT><ESC> out of the password dialog box.
  33. A smarter password encryption algorithm is now being used.

  35. Version 2.1 contains a new function, AutoLoad for automatically configuring
  36. Windows (through the WIN.INI file) so the screen blanker will automatically
  37. load itself each time you run Windows.

  44. ***************************** EASY INSTALLATION ***************************
  45. 1) Copy the files HSCRBLNK.EXE and HSCRLIB.DLL into your Windows Directory.
  46. 2) Run Windows
  47. 3) Through the Windows File Manager, MSDOS.EXE or however else you run
  48.    Windows applications, run the program HSCRBLNK.EXE.
  49. 4) Select AutoLoad in the Blanker Menu to configure Windows so that Harry's 
  50.    Screen Blanker will automatically load each time you run Windows.

  53. In the Blanker menu, under the "Set Delay" menu item, you can
  54. set a time delay from .10 to 10.00 minutes.  The default is 4 minutes.
  55. After you set the delay, MINIMIZE the Screen Blanker and your screen 
  56. will blank after the specifed time of keyboard and mouse inactivity.

  58. After the specified time of inactivity, the program appears. Pressing any key 
  59. or mouse button will minimize the program.

  61. Selecting the "Blank Now" menu item will run the progam just as if it 
  62. had timed out.

  64. Passwords can be set so that when a key or mouse button is pressed when
  65. the screen blanker is running, the user must type in a password in order
  66. for the screen blanker to stop.  If the user types in the wrong password
  67. a notification dialog box appears and the screen blanker continues running.

  69. The Password menu item allows you to set your own password and enable
  70. password checking.  Initially, your password is blank or empty.  Passwords
  71. are scrambled and placed in your win.ini file.  If you ever forget your
  72. password, you will have to reboot your computer, edit your win.ini file, and
  73. delete the line "password=xxxx" under the heading "[Harry's Screen Blanker]".

  75. The Options menu item allows you to configure the "look" of your screen
  76. blanker.  The number of lines can be set between 1 and 999.

  78. To set the color order, select a color to change from the list box,
  79. then press the button corresponding to the new color desired.

  81. The RANDOM Blanker Type causes the screen blanker to randomly choose one of
  82. the other blanker types each time it is run.
