Its terrain and climates are as diverse as the people and culture. China is thick with history and the land is scattered with monuments and shrines of many dynasties. The Great Wall of China is one of these monuments. Built to repel enemies more than 2,000 years ago, this massive wall stretches over 4,000 kilometres. Made of earth and bricks, this defensive and symbolic wall stretches from the Yellow Sea to the Asian desert.
