System Requirements: HyperCard v2.1 or higher, QuickTime software (optional)
HyperNotebook and Reference Stack work in tandem to provide a computerized version of the spiral notebooks and boxes of bibliographic reference cards that most researchers and writers carry around with them. In addition to essentially duplicating the text-based functions of a spiral notebook and a box of reference cards, these two stacks also add button-driven PICT image display and QuickTime movies, as well as hypertext links to pop-up notes and reference entries, sorting, and more.
This is the first version of HyperNotebook to be released. It does have some bugs, which are noted on the Help card. Any suggestions for improved functionality would be greatly appreciated. Please send suggestions, bug reports or comments to me directly via e-mail. My Internet e-mail address is: bsanders@ncsa.uiuc.edu.
The PICT files and the QuickTime movie examples provided in the archive should remain in the same file directories relative to HyperNotebook. Since HyperNotebook locates image and movie files using relative filenames, not absolute ones, you can easily move HyperNotebook, Reference Stack and all of its associated files by simply moving (or copying) the entire directory in which HyperNotebook resides to another disk. As long as the image files and directories end up in the same place relative to the position of HyperNotebook in the hierarchy, it should run without a hitch.
I hope that you find this software useful.
