  20.              Before running LineDrive for the first time, make sure that 
  21.         you are familiar with the contents of this file.
  22.  
  23.         LineDrive  requires the following  minumum  require-
  24.         ments:
  25.              1 MEG OF FREE DISK SPACE. This can be free space on
  26.         a  hard disk, one 1.44 meg 3.5 inch disk drive, or one 1.2 meg 
  27.         5.25 disk drive, or 1 720Kb floppy in combination with a 360Kb
  28.         floppy drive. 
  29.             (We have retained an older version of LineDrive that allows a 
  30.         league of up to 8 teams may be played on a two 360 kb floppy disks.
  31.         If you would like a copy of this version of the program specify
  32.         LineDrive 7.0 when registering.)

  34.              A COLOR MONITOR. This can be CGA, EGA or VGA.
  35.  
  36.              YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS IN THE CONFIG.SYS
  37.         FILE ON YOUR BOOT DISK OR THE ROOT DIRECTORY OF YOUR HARD DISK:
  38.                       FILES = 15
  39.                       BUFFERS = 25
  40.              These are minumum requirements. If the number of Files and 
  41.         Buffers specified in your config.sys exceeds these numbers that's 
  42.         fine. If you don't have enough files it is a simple procedure to 
  43.         add the above statements to your CONFIG.SYS file. Simply load your
  44.         current CONFIG.SYS file (found in the root directory of your
  45.         hard disk or boot-up diskette) into your favorite word
  46.         processor and add the above lines. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE FILE
  47.         IN THE ASCII FORMAT (there will instructions on saving an
  48.         ASCII file in your word processor). DOS 5 users can use the
  49.         EDIT program that came with DOS 5. EDIT automatically saves
  50.         in the ASCII format.
  51.              LineDrive Fantasy Baseball (hereafter referred to as LineDrive) 
  52.         is copyrighted software - it is not now and never has been in the
  53.         public domain.
  54.              Every release of LineDrive comes in two versions, the ShareWare 
  55.         or Evaluation Version and the Registered Version.
  56.              The ShareWare Version of LineDrive is intended for evaluation 
  57.         purposes. The ShareWare Version is fully enabled so that all areas 
  58.         of the program may be tested. Registered users receive a free copy
  59.         of the program LineDrive General Manager which makes player trades 
  60.         and allows you to sign free agents.

  62.              Before running the SETUP program make sure that the following 
  63.         files are in the drive/directory that you will start the program 
  64.         from:
  65.              SETUP.EXE
  66.              TITLE.scn
  67.              LD.exe   (LineDrive the program)
  68.              LD.hlp   (the help file)
  69.              GM.EXE   (registered version only - the General Manager's 
  70.                        program)

  73.             The ShareWare Version of LineDrive may be copied and distributed 
  74.       to others subject to the following conditions:
  75.             No charge may be made for LineDrive itself. Any fees collected for
  76.       the sale of diskettes containing LineDrive must be clearly stated as
  77.       being for materials and/or handling charges. The cost of the disk
  78.       containing LineDrive may not exceed $15.00.
  79.            All files included on the original distribution disk must be included
  80.       when the program is distributed or "uploaded" to a "bulletin board".

  83.              LD.hlp   (the help file)
  84.              LD.doc   (the manual)
  85.              PLAYERS.DBF (the previous year's player stats file)
  86.              TITLE.scn

  89.            McS Custom Software reserves the right to prohibit certain
  90.       individuals or companies form distributing LineDrive. If we chose to
  91.       excercise this right the individuals or companies will be notified by
  92.       certified letter.

  95.    Before installing this or ANY new software, you should back up any
  96.    valuable data on your computer system. LineDrive has been thoroughly
  97.    tested on different systems and is believed to be reliable and
  98.    non-harmful. However, no one can ever be totally sure of the effect
  99.    a program will have on every computer. You as the user are completely
  100.    responsible for determining the fitness or usability of LineDrive
  101.    Fantasy Baseball. Maranatha Custom Software will not be liable for
  102.    damages of any kind, including but not limited to lost sales or profits
  103.    arising from any failure of this package to perform as expected.

  106.    LineDrive's registration price is $35.00. Registered users get the latest
  107.    release of the registered version of LineDrive. In addition you will   
  108.    receive the lastest version of the LineDrive GENERAL MANAGER'S DISK which
  109.    allows you to trade players or sign free agents. You will also be entitled 
  110.    to any upgrades of LineDrive without charge other than handling costs.
