  2. Here is the port of doom to SPARC.  It uses DGA and threads to really
  3. exploit our hardware.  It runs on Solaris 2.4 & above.  The contents of this
  4. tarfile include:

  6. READMEFIRST.sun:    this file.
  7. README.id:        id Software's readme (they wrote doom)
  8. sundgadoom:        the dga version - fast and furious
  9. sunxdoom:        uses X... yawn.
  10. sndserver:        a process to handle mixing the sound effects.
  11. doom.1            a man page, somewhat brief.
  12. dmfaq666.txt:        the latest doom FAQ - PC oriented, but still useful.
  13. doom1.wad:        The shareware datafile ... yes, sundgadoom will play your
  14.             registered, doom ][ and external wads.

  17. Please use the net newsgroups for general doom questions - Rick and I have real jobs.
  18. We did this for fun in our "spare" time.  We cannot answer questions or handle bug
