  3. It's easier to explain if you just download it. ;)

  5. Here is some info on how and where to get ahold of PGP if you've picked up
  6. PGPShell not knowing what it does.  If you can't find PGP in the U.S. then
  7. call up garbo.uwasa.fi:/pc/crypt by anon ftp logon.  You can always call
  8. the Hieroglyphic Voodoo Machine BBS at 1.303.443.2457 (N81 V.32bis) and
  9. pick it up for free.

  11. This doc file is a little old, the latest version of PGP is 2.3a so look 
  12. for it as PGP23A.ZIP.  Okay then...      - Johannes

  22.     PGP v. 2.2 is on hundreds, if not thousands, of BBSes and Internet
  23. anonymous-ftp archive sites throughout the world.  This list cannot be
  24. comprehensive, but it should give you plenty of pointers to the largest
  25. and most frequently updated sites.  Upcoming versions of the program
  26. will appear first at these sites.

  28.     PGP 2.2 has been posted to the FidoNet Software Distribution Network
  29. and should soon be up on most if not all Canadian and U.S. nodes
  30. carrying SDN software.  It has also been posted on almost all of the
  31. major private North American BBS systems, thence to countless smaller
  32. boards.  Consult a list of your local BBSes; most with a sizeable file
  33. inventory should carry the program under the filenames listed below.

  92. This will deposit the two zipfiles, as 15 batched messages, in your mailbox

  95.     Another private BBS from which you can obtain PGP for the simple price of
  96. the long-distance call time is the Grapevine BBS, the largest BBS in Arkansas.
  97. It's run by Jim Wenzel in Little Rock.  John Eichler, a PGP user at Grapevine,
  98. sent me the following information for your edification and enlightenment:
